The album had some abstract art if I remember correctly. Mostly gray, but with some other colors here and there. That's all I remember D:

Between the Buried and Me (BTBAM) - Colors
And they weren't Deathcore, they were Metalcore!
I could never bring myself to like that album, just couldn't get into it
Ants Of The Sky was my favourite song off it though
Dark Matter?
Also, This Sun O)))))))) crap is driving me fucking nuts "Sunn O))) are amaaazing!"
I listen and dont enjoy it
I listen to it stoned as fuck and still dont get it, despite metal naturally being stoner music. Blasting low production Death/Thrash like Morbid Visions fucking rules.
I just hate it really, I'm not going to listen to it stoned when I could be listening to something which remotely sounds like music
I don't see how people enjoy it, but then again I understand why I never used to know why the hell people liked to listen to music with people screaming in it

That's just as disorted as Sun O)))...
I like the atmosphere it creates. Really damn cool.
I love Sunn O))) when reading stuff like lovecraft. Really sets good atmosphere.
I also come baring gifts:

Sunn O))) isn't something really that you would listen to, in a way. It more absorbs you and puts you in a sort of trance. Similar with Burzum, a lot of people don't get his music either but if you just sort of sit there and let it hit you it's amazing.

The atmosphere is the point of the music.
Exactly
Put my iPod on shuffle and The God That Failed played, followed by Dawn Patrol.
:eng99: Metallica.
They aren't similar...
they're not really songs they're more like soundtracks.
So are a lot of post rock albums
But they're not like Sunn O)))
[editline]19th October 2010[/editline]
Then again they are completely different genres of music

A metal song about a genre of metal sucking.

No offense to the users here who like black metal, but they do have a point.
Lich King is cool shit, that song's good
and I like black metal :v:
Not a fan of Gorgoroth/1349 etc style though, don't think it's that good. It can be cool.

Fuck yeah Venom!
Welcome to Hell is better than Black Metal I think. Not really listened to their other stuff, except Resurrection which is good.

Stfu, black metal owns
i thought you didn't like black metal
I didn't, every time I asked for some that I might like I got Mayhem, Venom, Immortal, that sort of stuff
Then I heard Burzum, and fell in love, and then I got into the more straightforward styles as well

You call burzum black metal?!
[editline]19th October 2010[/editline]
I think it's on a higher level of black metal, but I don't know.
Burzum isn't really anything. Although he was a very important character in the black metal scene and helped develop its sound. Burzum is unique. He falls under no main category really.
Personally the only "proper" blakc metal i really enjoy is Mayhem. Not a fan of Gorgoroth etc.
I like Emperor style though. That holds close to it but the melody and keyboard makes it far better. I love the atmospheric and ambient stuff most. It doesn't even need to be specifically ambient/atmospheric black metal. Gorgoroth and the like are generally too loud and not really messy but i dunno don't like it.
I personally don't like Mayhem too much (ever since I heard their cover of Future Breed Machine) but black metal isn't bad, just not my cup of tea...
Although. Gorguts is amazing.
