Blasphemy. Please, Ukri 'Uge' Sevilenko destroys the fuck outta jordison and he's only 16

i won't even mention Kollias, Derek Roddy, Mike Mangini, Chris Adler, Tony Laureano... Joey's a kid banging on his mom's pans compared to any of them
Kollias is dull and Mangini is a gunt.
Jordison's talented but like a lot of guys like him his fans overstate his abilities to the point where his actual skills, which are very impressive, get ignored.
Besides, Thomas Lang, Marco Minnemann, Gavin Harrison, Jason Rullo and Lord Marco (for speed). :colbert:
Lord Marco is great when it comes to ridiculously fast stuff
Flo Mounier is awesome

He plays it EXACTLY the way it is on the albums
theres no such thing as positive racism...
Positive discrimination, usually arises from a sense of self righteousness, that you are paying people back for the crimes your race committed against another race.
Yeah it really does exist.

And if we're talking about drummers I assume someone beat me to the punch and mentioned this guy:

Also Keith Merrows last album and Dagoba's last album are both fucking amazing.

More commonly referred to as white guilt.
Completely stupid, you pay for your own actions, no one elses and you should feel no predisposition to favouring someone over someone else over something as shallow as skin colour, it should be from the kindness of your heart or not at all.
So not at all in your case
:buddy:
Herf Derf :v:
Rarely happens but when push comes to shove, and If you manage to get past all the charcoaled, necrotic mantle of my heart there's a little bit of living flesh in there that's always saying "Help people!"
That's why you might on occasion see me leave a tip for someone or put cash into a charity box.
Is it supposed to be funny?
Yes.
I like Immortal still, I really like that song as well. But Immortal's videos are pretty funny to watch.
Same with Arckanum. His one video is just pretty funny. But the song on it is amazing.
Okay, I accede the point. The fact of the matter is I can still like the band, even if other bands do it better.
If I followed your logic, I'd only listen to maybe a half-dozen bands, because they do it better than all the other bands.
A half-dozen bands gets stale pretty fast.
In fact, the argument can go either way, depending on how general a scope we narrow things down to.
If we follow your logic of only listening to bands that have the best of elements we like, and are better in all other (assumedly positively) elements, then, by using a scope as wide as "the best metal band," then we'd only listen to a handful of bands: The best band that plays metal, the best band that plays country, the best band that plays rap, etc cetera.
Alternately, if we make our scope incredibly narrow, such as "the best melodic progressive doom/death metal band with strong sludge influences and minor symphonic black metal influences," then we could be listening to hundreds among hundreds of bands - only one of those bands would fill that particular goal, but if all the goals are as narrow, then virtually every single permutation of that scope could have its own band, such as "the best melodic progressive doom/death metal band with minor sludge influences and minor symphonic black metal influences." And those hundreds of bands would only be in the umbrella "metal" genre - just imagine how many bands there would be in all the other umbrella genres.
All that aside, though, I still have a right to like Disturbed. :colbert:
all I was trying to say is that I think it's stupid when people say "I like this about this band but hate everything else" when there are bands that have that one thing and don't suck on top of it out there. When people STATE they hate something about a band themselves but continue to listen when there are bands out there that don't have whatever it is they hate about it but just what they like.
It has nothing to do with genre or subgenre

Then why the hell did you bring it up in the first place?
I never said I hated anything about Disturbed. In fact, I said I like Disturbed. Yeah, there are things they could do better, but every band has things they can do better. :v:
Honestly, I think you either pulled a major misreading, or you're just trying to pick a fight. No offense, Vedi.
It reads the same way. There is nothing deep purple could do better for example, lol

There is loads, love stoner rock as well. But Crowbar (it's a bit sludge though), Superjoint Ritual, Electric Wizard, Sleep, High on Fire, Goatsnake, Kyuss, Orange Goblin and so on. The list goes on.

Is Morbid Angel supposed to have an album between Domination and FFttF? Trey Azagthoth even said it himself that they are doing all the albums in alphabetical order. Maybe they're too awesome to use the English alphabet?
For anyone who don't know what I'm talking about, here are their albums in chronological order:
Altars of Madness
Blessed Are the Sick
Covenant
Domination
Formulas Fatal to the Flesh
Gateways to Annihilation
Heretic
Email them and ask.

Yeah, apparently Garry deleted all the posts pre-2009 or something, deleting our postcounts with it.
Speaking of such, what is my count at now? Probably significantly lower than 10k, since most of those posts were made around the time of GM9. :v:
[editline]:gizz:[/editline]
Jesus Christ I lost 7000+ posts. :v:

I like them, but I don't like listening to them all the time. I rather do that with Crowbar and Nevermore.
