Pink Bubbles Go Ape is extremely underrated
Chameleon is actually one of my favourite albums by them, particularly I Believe and Longing. Giants is a pretty cool track too, but it's a good break for something different. And Pink Bubbles was awesome, I love Heavy Metal Hamsters. I would however been happier if their power metal reign lasted a little longer. I mean, my personal favourite was Walls of Jericho, but there is no denying the impact that the Keeper albums had on the world of metal
I never said it was lacking I just find it unnecessary and boring Walking to bus stop, put on opeth "Yep" *Nothing* "Okay that's cool" 2 minutes later "Okay seriously when does the goddamn song start"
But that IS the song. Part of it anyway.
The songs where there is actually SOMETHING HAPPENING are good Like Burden And no half the time the build up isn;t worth a four minute wait imo
Get Opeth's Deliverance and Ghost Reveries. I'd say at least 80% of each song is blistering death, with the last 20% being a tasteful touch of acoustic or otherwise soft. See: Master's Apprentices, Baying of the Hounds, Wreath, Ghost Reveries. :smug:
I'm not a fan of those stupid 5 minute intros I especially hate listening to Opeth songs and waiting 7 minutes for the song to actually get anywhere
The only Opeth song with a mildly slow intro I can think of is The Moor, and not even that song has a boring intro. Lotus Eater has a twenty second intro, but when it kicks in it'll rip your face off.
a day to remember are the hottest black metal group out
They pretty much sold out with their latest industrial rock/melodic death metal album though

On a more serious note though my response was in all caps and because the quote was a separate post the forum autocorrected it to be entirely lower case. Probably to prevent the old caps lock jokes from 4chan from engulfing threads like it once did years ago.

To be fair, I'm kinda preoccupied playing the game. I just learn the humming as an aside. And just to make sure, you do realize I mean the pitches as well, yes? Though I'm sure your talent has a big part to play, as well as my bad memory. :v:

From what I've observed of rock and metal cultures, Opeth is to metal what the Beatles are to rock Not in the sense that they are similar but it seems like everyone is like "Hurr, you must like x band you suck at y genre of music" Nobody can accept that not everyone likes the beatles for X reason, and nobody can accept that not everyone (me) likes Opeth for X reason. [editline]9th March 2011[/editline] that said I have been through their discography, given them plenty of chances and I just will not physically enjoy listening to opeth /opeth rant
