I feel pretty much the same way. I have Conclusion of an Age for Frets on Fire, can only play maybe three or four songs before I get tired of playing the same chug pattern. :v:
They totally overuse staccato, it's annoying and cliche
The riffs aren't spectacular, but they're pretty good
Also if you don't count harmonies between solo guitar and powerchords there are no harmonies in there at all

I bought a candlemass album on a whim once, didn't like it at all
The singer is horrible
I think it's called mirror's something
I was originally going to pick a different song that had a very unique harmony section but I decided on this one because it had a music video. Probably not the best choice in hindsight.
The one I had in mind originally:

download the first candlemass album
because it's the best one and the only one with the original vocalist

Lazarus A.D are supporting Bonded by Blood next week. I'd go if I weren't strapped for cash.

I can't believe I wasn't aware that Epicus Doomicus Metallicus had a different vocalist than Marcolin. I honestly did not know that.
To be fair, though, the earliest Candlemass album I have is Nightfall. I love Marcolin, though I've grown quite fond of Lowe, too.
Thread is now about Candlemass.

I saw them while they were around here a couple weeks ago (monthish?) and smoked a joint with a couple of the guys from Lazarus and then some other kids a buddy of mine knows in a local band named Crypter or something like that.. Both guys from Lazarus agreed it was "way too fucking cold", and that "it's nice you guys don't have a mass or east coast accent at all" and "this place looks like the fucking twilight zone.. we're in the fucking twilight zone, man".. oh and that they were totally partied out, lol
The show was great, the vocalist from Lazarus was/is? sick but he still did vocals anyways. Bonded by Blood, Lazarus, that band Crypter and Candy Striper Death Orgy played that night.
Bonded by Blood are one of the fucking hardest working metal bands out there right now. VIGOROUS touring they do.
Deez Nuts

As if anyone here cares, august burns red is working on another album, sounds like it's going to be better than the last one.
And TesseracT got nominated for a golden god award, you should vote for them :buddy:

My friend told me that Deez Nuts were like hardcore-y/hip hop, not metal
regardless I'll be seeing them play live this year, along with I Killed The Prom Queen, Of Mice & Men and Amity Affliction
Looking forward to it, those 3 bands are some of my favourites, all playing on the same night. Uhhh yeah
lol of mice and men
Oh no Vedicardi, a band you don't like
Deal with it
u deal with it
I am, dealing with it quite well
as am I hahahahaha
Good to see everyone is happy
Can we get back to the topic at hand?

The Ghost Inside is coming to Minneapolis on the 17th, the other 3 bands are terrible but the tickets are only $16.
Trying to secure a ride there right now since i live about 45mi southwest
what are the other 3 bands? just out of curiousity.

Senses Fail, Transit, Man Overboard. They're not terrible musicians but i hate the way they sound
I've seen TGI, they were pretty awesome

Trying to learn this on bass at the moment, only thing I'm struggling with is the bass solo.
