These guys are coming to my town in two months Probably the best metal band Spain has to offer right now.
pretty cool [editline]12th March 2011[/editline] other than the generic metalcore elements here and there of course
Russian thrash anyone? Killer fuckin' riffs. I have no idea what they're saying but this is awesome.

Fuck yeah, new Kreator. Miles better than their older work in my opinion. Between the older albums' poor quality and (in my opinion) crap vocals, I just can't like them - Enemy of God is their best album to date in my opinion. May be a different genre (post-metal), but I think NahemaH are a pretty neat Spanish band, too. Especially their sax solos (not this particular song; I can't remember which songs have them, and I'm not going to sit here and hunt them down). :shobon:

Not off the top of my head, sorry. :v:
Metal with sax? I'm a real sucker for that :v: know any more?
I'm pretty sure I heard a Nachtmystium song with sax once...
:sax:
That was cool :sax:
Shining's latest two albums are weird jazz metal with sax I cant' remember which one has the most sax so HAVE A RANDOM ONE
Heard them name-dropped on some occasions. Better check them out. Thanks guys!
Does anyone know of any decent metal that has banjo in it? I did a search on metal archives and got 28 results but I don't know which ones use the instrument more prominently than just in an intro or which ones aren't terrible.
wait until bravehat finishes his Country Djentlemen project
what i'd call the greatest power metal band ever (with hammerfall, gamma ray, helloween and such right behind, but edguy are just beyond amazing)
Agreed I love Edguy but I've heard loads of people bash them for being generic and mediocre but personally I think they're not close to either. Brilliant band. I missed them live last year :smith:

And I saw Primal Fear in between. :smugdog: [editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
what i'd call the greatest power metal band ever (with hammerfall, gamma ray, helloween and such right behind, but edguy are just beyond amazing)
My favorite power metal band is still Symphony X hands down, followed closely by Kamelot and Blind Guardian, but Edguy is still pretty freaking awesome.
Happy birthday Steve (and me). [editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
what i'd call the greatest power metal band ever (with hammerfall, gamma ray, helloween and such right behind, but edguy are just beyond amazing)
Tobias is a pretty cool guy. Love Avantasia and some of the stuff in edguy is pretty awesome. The end of this song makes me crack up every time.

Not sure how much it's used. I only really listened to the self-titled and the split with Skagos.

It's worth a listen even if it's not as fully implemented as you were looking for :v: [editline]13th March 2011[/editline]
I think Panopticon uses a Banjo on Collapse. it won't beat bravehat's bluegrass/djent fusion give him your 8 string so he can start on the djent side :science: [editline]13th March 2011[/editline] HEY I JUST REALISED HE DIDNT BUY A BANJO ON MONDAY :colbert:
Oi, the plan was a banjo/8 string collaboration between us. Stop turning this into a one man band :colbert:
oh right I'm sorry I forgot the details it was like a month since we last talked about it properly :saddowns: He so should have bought one of those banjos though and got it signed by devin

ALSO mashup of Hyperdrive by Devin Townsend from the version on Ziltoid and on Addicted It sounds really awesome [editline]13th March 2011[/editline] FUCK THIS IS TASTY GODDAMN SHIT Old school death metal fucking OWNS Every member of this band has at one point played in Death which is cool. Also the oldest of the old school It's weird thinking that Chuck actually did vocals to that Sounds like normal growls compared to the rest which is very characteristic :v: Still Death's demos are fucking brilliant
Thrashy oldschool deathmetal
Motherfucker YES [editline]13th March 2011[/editline] http://www.facebook.com/Polygraphist?sk=app_178091127385 This stuff's cool no stuff on youtube but they have some songs on their facebook. Would be better with better production but hey, they're just starting out.
