I was just thinking about you! Good to hear you are ok :)
I noticed that in the ''today'' shot you have hair, but in the later ones you don't.. Somewhere at the end of 2008 i found out my old classmate got breast cancer. I remember one of my moronic classmates making a joke about it so i smacked him. They don't know if it's ''thebad kind'' yet and there's an 80%chance it isn't but even then treatment sucks, which you have proven in this thread.
Kind of brings to lite that people on Facepunch have hardships to deal with aswell (yours being at the highest extreme). Glad your ok!

It's bad for anyone to have cancer, i hope you get better or something is done. I'm not sure about knowing of cancer and that but what causes the loss of hair?

Much respect for going through this shit and still being somewhat normal. many people get depressive in hospital.
It's bad for anyone to have cancer, i hope you get better or something is done. I'm not sure about knowing of cancer and that but what causes the loss of hair?
The chemo causes that.
Yeah, the hair loss is caused by the chemotherapy. Cancer doesn't have a specific cure or anything that can target it directly. The only thing they can do really is inject the body with poison mixed with certain sugars and stuff that only get "eaten" by the parts of the body that grow the fastest. Cancer is fast growing, so it takes in the poison, but so do things like hair, the digestive system (which causes the nausea) and sometimes other parts too. Right now I'm bald, but my eyebrows and eyelashes are just starting to come back in. I actually had to shave this morning too!
I am very glad to hear you are doing well! By the way have they removed the lines from your stomach or are they still there?
I am very glad to hear you are doing well! By the way have they removed the lines from your stomach or are they still there?
Oh, I forgot to write that in the OP! They removed them on Tuesday. It's kinda weird to not have anything protruding from my chest anymore!
Such an awesome story! Hope you fully recover soon!
you deserve user of the decade.
Great to hear how well things seem to be goin! And the whole mask pics deal in PoY makes a lot more sense now, lol
Nice to hear :) (i dunno what more to say :P)
You're an inspiration! I salute you, and I'm happy that things are turning out for the better!
It's good to hear that you're getting better, and that your hair is starting to come back in.
No fast food (though I cheated yesterday and had a burger... oh wow it was heaven)
hahahaha nice. Also glad to here it all went well for you.
I`ve never seen you before until now. I`m really glad your doing better :D
Why can't you have fast-food stupid07er?
I'm sorry for asking, but as I read about the whole hair-loss thing, Does all your hair on your body begin to fall off, like including Pubic hairs and such? Other than that, congratulations, it's a miracle you made it through all this, What a Journey, lets hope you are rid of cancer for good.
Good luck. its nice to read a story like that and realise my own problems are insignificant. I really wish you well with this. Also congrats on getting through the worst (i hope).
You have really small nipples. Glad you made it through.
I want to troll this guy so badly but my aunt has cancer so I can't.
This thread has also restored my faith in Facepunch users, where people are actually being nice for once!
May sound stupid, but you should used "weed" for pain. That is right, the patients use it!
You give me hope and inspiration.
Awesome! Also I forgot to say congrats on the RU 07'er and Bean-O, you guys defiantly deserved it yo Oh and in your before cemo pictures you look like Jim from the american The Office :D
Now he puts on his happy personality...
Aw wow, happy to hear you made it all through that :) and I hope the PET/CT scan goes well :) My cousin had to have a bone marrow transplant as well, not for cancer though. She was only 6 years old and she had Aplastic Anemia, which is a rare disease where bone marrow doesn't produce enough bloodcells. Aplastic Anemia isn't normal anemia. With Aplastic Anemia you don't produce any white bloodcells, red bloodcells, and platelets. Without all of the treatment she had, she wouldn't have made it, but she did :') and I'm happy for it. She also got to go on the grant-a-wish foundation! She wished for a violin, and she also got to meet some famous violinist. :') Happy you went through it all ok too :')
