Wow, I must have missed this thread a few months back, but I'm glad that didn't get any worse for you.
I actually think it was Dragon who gave it to me...
thought for a brief second there a dragon gave you cancer, now that would have been on the news. first thread i've actually properly read through the whole way. nice
hey..just found the update. Hate to hear that the first chemo didn't do it for you, but I'm glad that you're at least holding up alright for now. I wish you all the best.
The chemo part reminds me of the time I got radiation sickness in Russia in 1998. Good times :vomit:
Wtfhow
I read the OP but it was kinda long and I forgot some details, Did they use stem cells to cure your cancer? Like you don't have cancer any more?
You are looking a lot better.
I'd always wondered what happened to you - I've seen random pictures you posted of yourself. I don't know you, but it's good to hear you're doing well. God bless.
I read the OP but it was kinda long and I forgot some details, Did they use stem cells to cure your cancer? Like you don't have cancer any more?
The chemo is still the "cure", the stem cells are used because without that huge influx of them received during the transplant you wouldn't survive the high dose chemo. And I'm not sure yet if I still have cancer or not. I'll have another scan around July and then I'll know for sure. They have to wait a few months for all the scar tissue to heal and such so that it doesn't show up on the scan and look like cancer when it's really not.
Shit man, that's hardcore, I don't think I could go through cancer. That Respected User under your name is very well deserved. :) Stay well!
Glad to hear you're getting better.

Thank you for making this thread! It brings up home to my heart. My father has prostate cancer - And he is doing radiotherapy. And will take hormones injection for 2 years. You filled me up with hope! :)
Thanks for that story man. I didn't know... God bless.
No idea. The doctors said they don't know why Hodgkin's happens, it just does randomly. It's not genetic or anything.
Nothing is really random, there has to be a reason we just don't know yet
Good story. I'm guessing it changed your life, hopefully for the good. Well done.
Cthulhu bless you!
God Bless brother.
My Dad died of cancer when i was 11, that was a hard journey for me, can't imagine what it must have been like for you
The top of your head looks like it was shaved, I don't believe you do have cancer. (User was banned for this post ("Trolling" - verynicelady))
The top of your head looks like it was shaved, I don't believe you do have cancer.
A lot of people have their hair shaved off when it starts to fall out Yes I'm sure he took the time to get all dressed up, shave his hair, hook himself up to all that machinery and take pictures just so he could post them on FP and get RU before it was even invented Get out, thanks
So how did you get cancer?
You don't get cancer... Cancer gets you. :( Sadly... My mom has one, witch can't be removed, but they can stop it with some hard medication and radiation.
The top of your head looks like it was shaved, I don't believe you do have cancer.
Idiot! Of course it's "shaved". Because the hair falls off anyways, so its cleaner to just cut it. >:( (soz for bad enlis)
The top of your head looks like it was shaved, I don't believe you do have cancer.
Oh please, leave. Also, fight the cancer, bro! Or wait for stem cell's to be fully explored.
Idiot! Of course it's "shaved". Because the hair falls off anyways, so its cleaner to just cut it. >:( (soz for bad enlis)
Did it fall off due to the stress of finding out he had cancer?
I had a pet rat when a couple years ago that died of cancer. It had a big tumor/cyst poking out of it's belly. Also, I've had a few people in my family with cancer, only the wimmin though. They had lung cancer, and they smoked alot.
I'm glad you're doing well :) <3
facepunch members can cure cancer yo
Attention whore! Nah, just kidding, that was interesting.
In my opinion, don't even make fun of it. I know you didn't want to be mean, but just don't, buddy. Read it all, thankfully you're getting better. I was really sadface when I saw the title, but good to know you're better. Also, you look quite good bald. Keep it going, god bless you and thank to destiny that you're alright. Thanks for sharing, captain.
You are a really brave man. You're really inspiring.
