Dear god this made me cry a little bit :'( That last picture i can't bare to look at. (No offense, it just looks painful) But... Here are some things that wouldve made the situation drastically better for me 1. Use it to get pity from hot chicks 2. If you saw the doctor from the G.I joe movie, i would get his mask and hair peice thing with the voice box and all 3. gotten the barcode tattoo on the back of my head [editline]07:20AM[/editline]
what a noob, cancer is for suckers.
Die in a fire
1. I did get pity from hot chicks! Though now that I've been doing better, most haven't stayed around. 2. I like that idea! Too bad the movie just came out now, and not last winter to have given me the idea. 3. Wow. Thinking back on it, I'm not sure why I didn't at least take a picture of me in a suit and red tie. I own both!
and if i was diagnosed with cancer, even if there is a 90% chance that i will live, i would abort so many fetus' that the worlds expected population by 2010 would be cut in half
Oh thanks guys! I kinda had forgotten to update this thread! OP updated with just a short blurb about the good news!
That's really great news. All you can do now is hope for the best, eh?
Congrats dude! Glad to hear that you're free of the cancer!
August 10, 2009 Update! So I found out officially last week (though I 'accidentally' found out the week before) that I have no active cancer in my body! I had a PET/CT scan, the 1st one since having the heavy chemo and transplant back in January. They are kind of careful with using the word "cured" my doc said. She said if I get clean scans for 5 years, then they'll say I'm cured and I won't have to have checks for it again. So for now, we can say I am in remission. It feels very good though! Like I now have my future a bit more open instead of worrying that I'll have treatments and have to cancel big plans. I haven't been as active on the forums lately because of the good news and actually getting more of a normal social life. It's been good. Thanks again for everyone's well wishes!!
Thank god for stem cell research, I'm highly thankful that we live in a democratic government. And not one with an evil Alaskan dictator. *Gives wishes for a healthy and fruitful future*
You're awesome have a :hfive:
Quite a story, cancer is a horrible thing and i hope i never have to deal with it. Thank god you are free of it and best of luck in your future.
Good to hear from you man, I'm glad you pulled through.
Well done. Now don't do anything stupid and get HIV!
Well done. Now don't do anything stupid, and get HIV!
Forgive me for interpreting it like this :(
I hope you'll have an awesome cancer free life! You totally deserve it.
Gotta love modern medicine, my hat comes off to all the hard work those men and women endlessly do to bring about moments like this. Congrats man, best of luck for the future.
"Don't stop me now! I'm having such a good time, I'm having a ball" Queen should be going through your head at all times. :)
I salute you. You should write a book about it : )
I hope everything works out! :( fight the battle with cancer and I'm sure you will win! God Bless.

Did you get RU due to this thread?
Your story reminds me of the plot in the movie Funny People.
Not to be negitive but i lost my grandfather who was very close to me. he died from cancer yesterday at 6 pm. He had cancer in his lymph nodes and lungs but on top of that he got pneumonia. Other than that your story touched me and i have the highest hopes for you!
You should watch this video about Rick Simpsons. He claims that hemp oil can cure cancer, might help you if the cancer returns. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjhT9282-Tw

-snip-
It's always great to hear about being cured, even not knowing personally. My mom died of cancer and I've grown to care about those who have it, since it may hit me anytime. Congrats on the remission : )
i remember when i lurked on the forums and saw this thread back in 08. glad to hear you're better bro.
Congrats! This must have been really scary for you.
