Wow what the hell, you need at least 5 GCSE's to get into A levels here.
We only had 3 options for subjects to select, with another 5 mandatory subjects. English literature was an optional extra.

It's the same in my school, though I'm getting an extra GCSE in my science if I pass this year as well (I'm doing double award).
In fact I have 6 mandatory subjects.
Got an E for maths (Saw that coming, I'm terrible at it), but passed just about everything else. I'm a bit disappointed that I only got a D for biology though, since I look after animals and plants all the time.
Well that's higher than our highest.
Highest grades a person in our school got was 7A*'s and 4 A's
The guy who everyone considers the smartest guy in our school got 13 A*s
The fucker
I know this is A-level but I got my GCSE results on Thursday
13 A*s and 1 A so I was pretty pleased
The A was in Classics which was a bummer because I did work really hard in it
Get back from my 2 month trip to America to meet and stay with my GF, 2 days later go and get my GCSE results:
Biology A*
Chemistry A
Physics A*
English Lit A
English Lang A
Maths A
Religious Studies C (Short Course, so C is best you can get)
Reason I'm only doing 6 is I had a rough year with large bouts of depression and one suicide attempt, so I missed in total like 7 weeks of school, with 3 of them all being at once just before exam season; so I dropped my French, Geography, ICT and Graphic Products. All worked out though didn't it. Now I have a great GF and great results. Life is GREAT!
Overall went better than I expected
So, is anyone else joining me at Southampton uni this year?
English, maths, science - A
Drama, German - B
Law - C (I got an A in one paper and D in the other lol)
PE - D but I didn't want to pick PE in the first place, I was moved into it
Business I didn't hand any work in but I have reasons for that (To do with bullying, especially in this class), so I got no mark. I don't give a shit about it anyway
I'll be going to Plymouth. Who can I expect to see there?
Music - A
RE - A
English Lit - A
English Lang - A
Science Core - A
Science Additional - A
History - B
Maths - B
Sociology - B
German - A*
Really pleased with my results, got into Sixth Form to do German, History, Music Tech and Philosophy & Ethics.
