Yeah dopey trout explained that to me. Which is good. Apparently Download doesn't do that though
Ah well it's Download lol
Got my ticket as soon as the Big 4 were announced, the rest of the lineup is great too :buddy:
4 days :3
Awww yeaaa
Oh and, in case anyone doesn't have a fancy phone that can support the app for the times of the bands like me since they STILL don't seem to have released it for everyone, you can view the times [url=http://www.strictlysonisphere.co.uk/features/sonisphere-2011-clashfinder/]here[/url] for everyone and it's in a nice format to tell who's gonna be clashing with who and stuff :3
Gonna have to miss Firewind, Paradise Lost and part of The Mars Volta by the looks of it.
Also annoyed that they decided to go back on their saying that all bands only pay after the Big 4, I have to leave The Black Dahlia Murder after like 15-20 minutes of their set if I want to get a half decent spot for Slayer probably, and I'm missing Rolo Tomassi because they start the same time as Metallica :smith:
Still for the amount of bands I plan on seeing 2 bands lost to clashes doesn't seem that bad.
This is true but Rolo tomassi and TBDM are 2 of the bands I wanted to see most
I even missed Rolo Tomassi on their UK tour last month because I decided to save money and just see them at Sonisphere >:(
GET EXCITED FUCK FACES!

Last year was awesome, it was my first time ever going to a music festival. Had such a blast with my mates.
Turned our friend into a walking festival mecha.
That guy made up of skin and bones on the left is me.

Can't wait till Thursday, got my early entry ticket and then it's awesome music the following days.
I reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreally wish I was going :(
heading down thursday, can't wait.
2 more days guys!
Opeth? Mastodon? The big four? God fucking damnit, I hate how I'm not rich and don't live in the UK.
will it be a terrible idea to see rolo tomassi on friday
since they start at the exact same time as metallica and i like them quite a lot more than metallica (although if metallica play so much shit from the 80s like it seems i'll enjoy it way more cos that's all their good shit) but it'll probably mean i end up not being able to see shit won't it
[editline]6th July 2011[/editline]
then again because of how incredibly big the crowd they'll attract will be it'll probably be very hard to get a good spot even if i get there early
You said shit way too often there
shit ims orry :c
[editline]6th July 2011[/editline]
god you're right
I really hope metallica play fuel, there only truly awesome new song.
Also 1 day :D
Damm I saw the stream's for Parkway Drive (on Youtube), Opeth and Slipknot.
Man, Slipknot were unbelievable. Fucking great concert
Opeth were great too. Too bad i didnt like the setlist as much as the perfomance.
Parkway Drive was fun fun fun :D One of the guitar players broke his leg and played in a wheelchair.
Duuude what Opeth's setlist was fucking glorious. Seriously. I was Kylesa instead of Parkway and it was a good choice. Sludge high=fuck yes. And yeah Slipknot were fucking fantastic. Christ they know how to put on a good show.
This year was AMAZING. So glad that i went to this festival. The atmosphere was great too and somehow we ended up making something called Burgulas.

Epic weekend. Ended up getting wasted/stoned and seeing who fell over in the mud on the saturday with hilarious slapstick effects.
Metallica were awesome.
'What's got three legs and a cunt on top?'
'A drummer's stool.'
Who said that? :v:I enjoyed Mikael's banter. "Back in Switzerland, I'm a clockmaker. It's why my timing's so perfect." :rimshot:

Even though they're from Sweden
Arif Mirabdolbaghi from Protest the Hero said it.
we couldn't get into the tent for Protest The Hero :smith: Wish all the tents were similar to the Jager stage, it worked so much better than Red Bull and Bohemia. They seemed to work most of the time but TBDM, Gojira, Alestorm, and other bigger bands playing in the tents absolutely packed the places out so quickly.
Bohemia is annoying as fuck. I missed Steve-O's lighting himself on fire stunt because I was stuck behind one of the big supports.
Unlucky. I got in about half way through his set but I couldn't see anything.Tall people at gigs :argh:

I've never wished I was taller more than when I was in Bohemia.

At least I got in for Gojira though. They were amazing.
