I like this band's music, and I don't think they've had a large amount of exposure outside Aus. Check them out: Art Vs Science Not directed at anyone in particular. [editline]3rd July 2011[/editline] For the love of all things audio, listen in HD.
You would post this in Recommend an Album or somethin mate, this thread is for people asking for music regarding their criteria. in other news, I would absolutely love some more stuff in the veins of The Decemberists, Arcade Fire, and Florence + the Machine. I've gone through all of the obvious similar artists already, so give me the obscure ones!
Someone suggest me some good fast-paced music for Beat Hazard
Someone suggest me some good fast-paced music for Beat Hazard
Slayer
Get some Prodigy and Crystal Method as well.

Bands like God Is An Astronaut, do not suggest any of these bands 65daysofstatic Mogwai GYBE Explosions In The Sky If These Trees Could Talk This Will Destroy You [editline]4th July 2011[/editline] They're all post rock but they don't sound anything like GIAA, there's this special quality they have which makes them better than all of them

There's alot of good shit coming out of that area lately.
I'll look into it
For good Russian post rock you should look for Powder! Go Away.

Having not really listened to GIIA I can't tell you how similar they are, but both of those bands are just damn good post rock/metal
Can someone recommend some good dark-eerie rap. Does not have to sound super fucked up like Death Grips but it would not be bad either.
Can someone recommend some good dark-eerie rap. Does not have to sound super fucked up like Death Grips but it would not be bad either.
Dalek. It's dark as fuck, but sometimes it gets a little freaky. Unless you are mentally prepared for that, you'll be taken. :smug:
I listened to Dalek and they are the reason I want more. :v:
Well they're the only noise hip hop oriented group I've heard. Listen to their latest LP which is Untitled, also:

Anyone know good (smooth) jazz groups?
Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue is an obvious album
yea, then Round About Midnight and Workin are also good albums from his Cool Jazz era. any Bill Evans album. Waltz for Debby and Sunday at the Village Vanguard are two masterpieces, probably the best jazz trio ever.
