Does anyone know some bands like Up Dharma Down?
the field recordings genre is brilliant.
Suggest me some. Heard one song and I was bored to tears.
Suggest me some. Heard one song and I was bored to tears.
Most of the stuff is atmospheric and drone based stuff. "Imperial Household Orchestra" album is where I'd start, always headphones with that. [editline]30th July 2011[/editline]
Never heard him before, but what I've listened to just now sounds great. Never been much of a soul-guy, but I'm starting to get there.
He's influenced by Prince and Marvin Gaye, you'll like those too :)
At Roskilde 2010. He's pretttty funky.
Did he do anything from the Sign of the Times album?
Give some pop, rap, house, techno or hiphop or whatnot to a metalhead. No dubstep, d&b or anything similiar. Feel like listening something else right now. Maybe some hiphop influenced by death metal?
Maybe some hiphop influenced by death metal?
What dyou mean? "Doom Hip Hop" = Dalek "Screaming Psych Hip Hop" = Death Grips
What dyou mean? "Doom Hip Hop" = Dalek "Screaming Psych Hip Hop" = Death Grips
I dont even know if this stuff exists, wanted to hear some hip hop mixed with metal. I already know Death Grips, though thats not exactly what i had in mind. going to check out Dalek.
Rap metal is rare and usually odd.
Did he do anything from the Sign of the Times album?
To be honest, it's a long time ago, and I'm not that acquainted with his catalogue. But yeah, sure. Maybe.

That was kinda cool. How about some agressive hiphop metal with growls / screams. I remember one band who did that but cant remember the name. The band wasnt well known. Also the album cover had a guy with a gasmask.
There is also Rage Against the Machine. Lyrically wise and belief wise they are the exact opposite of Stuck Mojo.

Anthrax kinda dabbles in rap metal with two tracks. One is their own single and another is a Public Enemy remake. [editline]30th July 2011[/editline] Oh and the soundtrack of the movie "Judgement Night" contains a good amount of Rap metal/rock.
I could do with some Rap, my library is lacking.
GZA OFWGKTA (Check out other members than just Tyler) MF Doom Nas Babbletron Are my favorites so far. Theres soo many rap artist though.
Checked out Tyler, but cool, will be sure to check out the rest.
To be honest, it's a long time ago, and I'm not that acquainted with his catalogue. But yeah, sure. Maybe.
get acquainted. Sign of the Times is his best :)
Atmosphere is my favorite rap act right now. If the chance to see them live arises, don't hesitate. The frontman, Slug, is probably the nicest person ever. [editline]30th July 2011[/editline]
get acquainted. Sign of the Times is his best :)
I will. But, hey, is that the spaced out one with the New World Order theme going on?
I will. But, hey, is that the spaced out one with the New World Order theme going on?
urm.... no :) it's his double album that took basically the whole of his time in the 80s to define. That's his masterpiece which he should be remembered for.
