I asked for suggestions in the Beatles' thread a little while back, and nobody gave me a serious answer. Would it be possible for a few people to give me a suggestion for their 5-10 most favourite Beatles songs? I'd like to give them another try.

for only some of their key songs,
1. Please Please Me - not their best song in a long shot but it's about fellatio and the song is a lot better when you know that
2. Hey Jude - A good example of the band being memorable with only using the word "na"
3. Tomorrow Never Knows - A big fucking acidfest
4. Nowhere Man - their first song not about love
5. Rain - you like the rain so you'll like this song. it also has the first use of backtracking ever
Of course I'm missing a lot of their songs but you can't really sum up the band in just five songs. A compilation album might be good to start out with so the Red (1962-1966) and blue (1967-1970) are four disks of some of their most iconic work and show a good retrospective of their varying styles of a band but if you're not a fan of compilation albums then Revolver (one of the first psychedelic albums) or Abbey Road (the group's swan song) are a couple of their most famous albums and are very accessible and interesting to listen to so you can get into the band.

You have Pearl yes?
Great way to find music you like is to go to soundcloud and search for a tag e.g. hip hop
You have Pearl yes?
I don't have any albums :frown:
I've only seen biographies and listened to individual songs.

Well go get the Pearl album bro.
In my opinion a collection is missing heart when it doesn't have that album. :smugdog:

The rolling stones, The Who, and most classic rock. Gorillaz is my favorite band. Metal is ok, but not my favorite.
Suggestions?

Check out Blur, Damon's other band. It's like Gorillaz but with more guitars.

Recommend something I don't listen to. Rap or pop or techno or something.

Fleet Foxes, Death Grips, Tegan & Sara, Four Tet.
I'm really into Nirvana, The Killers, Joy Division, and other indie stuff, in fact I just found this today and I think it's a nice song:

I also like Modest Mouse, Radiohead, and stuff like Squeeze, The Beatles, and Weezer.
Any recommendations?

+1 for Bon Iver, Pixies, Interpol, Kasabian, and The Smiths. Great choices.
Someone recommend me some works similar to Pink Floyd's "The Division Bell"
Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentleman We're Floating In Space
You'll love it.
Just remember that they aren't Pink Floyd at all. But the "feel" that you get on Division Bell is consistent on this album.
Well what about Gilmour's solo albums? Are any of them akin to The Division Bell?
On An Island.
On An Island is amazing.
On An Island is amazing.
Better than Division Bell? Maybe.
Better than Division Bell? Maybe.
I think so.
On An Island all day. :pcgaming:
