Does anyone know any calm, relaxing indie rock with a similar vibe to Bon Iver's work?
Check out Iron & Wine, Fleet Foxes, and Nick Drake.
John Martyn's early stuff, especially his album London Conversation, is good if you like Nick Drake aswell. Also check out Ray Lamontagne, Kid Cudi.
What's some essential stoner metal? I've only heard Kyuss's Blues for the Red Sun and Welcome to Sky Valley, and I'm listening to Sleep's Holy Mountain right now.
Electric Wizard.
I need some Apocalyptic Ambient/Post-rock. Some thing that gives the down vibe aka, I need some Downbeat post-rock like F♯ A♯ ∞
Johnnytwentythree sounds like something you'd enjoy.
Does anyone know any calm, relaxing indie rock with a similar vibe to Bon Iver's work? I've tried some chillwave artists (chillwave sucks) and tried going back to artists like this that I used to listen to before like Coldplay and Radiohead that provided this atmosphere and it just wasn't the same. I'm starting to think that Bon Iver's the only indie (or rock for that matter) artist I will ever truly enjoy since I've been getting back into rap and R&B.
Maybe try The National And Fleet Foxes if you haven't

Suggest me some music that is like this.

Any One know some good modern rap artists/albums? (yes, i made a thread about that already) But i also need possibly some good modern hardrock. Something like breaking benjamin when it comes to instrumental, but not lyrical.

Hello, I am looking for more ambient IDM that has a similar sound to Tycho, Boards of Canada, Dusty Brown, Autechre, u-ziq, and Digitonal. Any help would be appreciated!

Throw me something similar to Hooverphonic, please.
Plat
Got a link?
If you like Kyuss then you'll probably like Queens of the Stone Age, The Desert Sessions, and Them Crooked Vultures (lots of the same members among those bands) Some other good stoner music groups are Fu Manchu, Monster Magnet, Karma to Burn, and The Atomic Bitchwax
torche and big business
Got a link?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhuliKiFQHo there's also Plaid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDDnuZAL9ps [editline]18th August 2011[/editline] speaking of desert sessions, I need some chill desert/stoner rock. less of the heavy Kyuss sound
But i also need possibly some good modern hardrock. Something like breaking benjamin when it comes to instrumental, but not lyrical.
Karnivool? Never once listened to Breaking Benjamin though so I can't really compare them. Thought I doubt they're very similar. Still Karnivool has an accessible hard rock sound which is definitely influenced by nu-metal (is Breaking Benjamin even nu-metal?).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhuliKiFQHo there's also Plaid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDDnuZAL9ps
Thanks for the link, Plat is the kind of stuff I'm looking for. Plaid is pretty popular so I've checked that out already.

Can anyone recommend me bands similar to "Cortex" or "The Soft Machine".
Can anyone recommend me bands similar to "Cortex" or "The Soft Machine".
The Soft Machine? Robert Wyatt fronted the Soft Machine and went on to found Matching Mole, so try out some Matching Mole, but apart from that Soft Machine were a Canterbury Scene band and were one of the foundations of the progressive rock movement, so try out bands like the Gong, Caravan, Steve Hillage, In Cahoots, Delivery, Egg, Hatfield and the North, etc. Depends what album by Soft Machine you're talking about though. Soft Machine were jazz fusion at one point and almost progressive at another, so you could even try some King Crimson.
Anyone knows anything similiar to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jW2KVTn1uiY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOY9nBqBDIw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3l9d8ldImO8 Some sad sounding acoustic stuff, preferrably instrumental. I'm not looking for the regular WoD stuff though, just the acoustic stuff.
Some music I listen to: Miami Horror - I like almost all their songs, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fn7FXGaHTNs Lemaitre - http://soundcloud.com/serious-url Mr. Little Jeans - http://soundcloud.com/mrlittlejeans Kidstreet - Only songs I like from them are Song and Spin Twirl, http://www.youtube.com/artist/Kidstreet?feature=watch_metadata So, Electro-popy, Disco-esque. Please, and Thank you.
Any recommendations for bands similar to the Red Hot Chili Peppers?
