Can someone recommend me some Eurobeat similar to Dave Rodgers? Mostly cause it's so hard to find any, and I don't fancy downloading youtube videos for 10+ songs.
Ambient drone seems to be what your after. aside from stars of the lid, try William Basinski (get the album Melancholia if the other stuff from him is too minimalist and long). Natural Snow Buildings is also great but there's a lot of breaks from the ambient into more folky guitar stuff, but that gives it nice variety. The Dead Texan is one of the members from Stars and it's also great stuff. Biosphere does some stuff like this aswell, check out his collaboration with Deathprod
Tim Hecker's music is very textured and warm but it's basically like this stuff.
The album "No Pussyfooting" by Brian Eno and Robert Fripp is an earlier example of stuff like this which is really great.
These were all pretty good, however I wish more of them had that same "futuristic" (don't know what to call it) sound that the Deus Ex one has.
But it's definitely Ambient drone.
Karnivool are great but I can't see how you compare them to BB
They are completely and utterly different
I probably haven't listened BB enough to compare them, I just saw modern hard rock and the first thing that came to mind was Karnivool.

Leonard Cohen bro.
also Paul Simon, Randy Newman, Tom Waits, and also Sly Stone.
Like, really cynical, hopeless kinds of music I guess

I'm in need of jazz similar to Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue
I'm in need of jazz similar to Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue
Try furthering your jazz selection with some more Miles, Bitches Brew is one.
Also needs Charles Mingus, Thelonius Monk, John Coltrane.
Enjoy.

Check out Herbie Hancock's Maiden Voyage.
I'm in need of jazz similar to Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue
Cannonball Adderley - Something Else
basically the prequel to Kind of Blue
and Bill Evans - Sunday at the Village Vanguard
mingus is.... amazing but represents such a different side of jazz than anything davis did, and maiden voyage is pretty far from kind of blue as well but it's cool

Anyone have any Jazz-Funk bands they like? I've given Cortex and The Blackbyrds a listen so far.
I'm searching for rock music, quite aggressive, but no grunts or shit. I already know the following:
adelitas way, Avenged sevenfold, Breaking benjamin
Disturbed, framing hanley, Bullet for my valentine
Green day, rammstein, My chemical romance
Rise against, Shinedown, Sick puppies
Sum 41, Three days grace, Japanese voyeurs
Something with a singer like Rise against or sick puppies would be the best, but with instrumental like breaking benjamin, avenged sevenfold or bullet for my valentine.
So basically Melodic Hardcore?
So basically Melodic Hardcore?
A mix of grunge and melodic hardcore, more specifically melodic hardcore with no screaming. Oh well, the bands I see named are damned good, thank you.
Anyone have any Jazz-Funk bands they like? I've given Cortex and The Blackbyrds a listen so far.
Weather Report.
Goldmund and Helios are worth a try too.
Already listened to Eingya (Helios) before, it's more on Ambient side. Similar to Lights Out Asia and Hammock.
Will try Goldmund.
Thanks.
sleepmakeswaves

Thanks for reccos.
Talk Talk, Tortoise, Do Make Say Think
Listened to all of them a long time ago. Will give another try. Thanks.

Thanks for the reccos. Was listening to Maybeshewill. Better get the whole album to post holistic impressions.
Desert or Stoner rock?
Just discovered the genres and I like them. But I don't know any bands.
Desert or Stoner rock?

Well for essential desert rock there's Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, and The Desert Sessions (Basically almost the same band with interchanging members)
For stoner rock: Monster Magnet, Fu Manchu, The Atomic Bitchwax, Clutch, and Karma to Burn
I've heard Nebula and Orange Goblin are good too but I've never listened to them

brant bjork is a big part of the desert scene.
also, fu manchu is desert rock. desert rock is basically just the members of the scene from Palm Desert California.
and just to mention one more time, Kyuss is amazing. Make sure to hear the albums Blues for the Red Sun and Welcome to Sky Valley
