dammit... I must get more Mike Oldfield records.
Well I like the post-rock genre. Are there other genres that are similar to post-rock?
I know this is a bit vague but can anyone suggest a sort of best of the 80's? Even the shitty pop stuff that was popular back then, I'm feeling in that sort of mood.
Well I like the post-rock genre. Are there other genres that are similar to post-rock?
Shoegaze, post-metal, post-rock/screamo, dream-pop, and some subgenres of electronic incorporate a lot of, or have a lot of similarities to post-rock. Might be worth looking into some of them. If you want bands/albums I can help.

Some golden age hip hop albums have a distinct production but they're mostly timeless.
Can someone recommend me some funk in a similar vein to Parliament?
people who like my taste just suggest me anything
people who like my taste just suggest me anything
Yeah but you like everything... I'll just give you something you probably won't find hard liking/something you haven't heard before: Jorge Ben - Forca Bruta Good album.

Those are the first that spring to mind, so just pick an album by them. [editline]4th October 2011[/editline] some Bjork is kind of like that too.

Can someone post songs that's like Gary Jules - Mad World?
Can someone post songs that's like Gary Jules - Mad World?
This always reminded me of Mad World. I don't know why, maybe because of the singer's voice?
Kind of weird that they went from Black Metal to Trip Hop. :v:
Yeah, compare Shadows of the Sun with Bergtatt, it's crazy. Great band though.
Needless to say, it's all great music imo. Just different mindsets.
people who like my taste just suggest me anything
I didn't look at all the bands you listened to so some of these you might already listen to. A Silver Mt. Zion Ô Paon Circle of Ouroborus Skagos Mudhoney Amesoeurs
