Might be worth looking into some of them. If you want bands/albums I can help.

Only a few of those are "80s" sounding. Some golden age hip hop albums have a distinct production but they're mostly timeless.

Yeah, compare Shadows of the Sun with Bergtatt, it's crazy. Great band though.
