The music section should have a smug rating.
First we'll need a goddamn smug emote. Seriously, why'd garry remove it? It was REALLY useful!
Kind of weird that they went from Black Metal to Trip Hop. :v:
And then to ambient...then to folk...then to whatever the hell this is Amazing band.

Looking for some cool, not heavy sounding music. I like Coldplay and Wilco. Basically singers with very unique voices.

Any suggestions?
Giles Corey: Just heard this one for the first time and I think its appropriate. Some GY!BE songs: This one and Antennas to Heaven really have that effect on me. And if you're into metal... Converge: This song really makes me feel uneasy but it isn't too much like Converge's usual stuff. That one is more representative of their usual stuff, but its still not for everyone. Unexpect: The beginning alone is enough to make me lose my mind.
Looking for some more punk sounds like the exploited, or the dead kennedys. And some slower shit so I can draw to it, I'm open to pretty much anything
Can someone recommend me some funk in a similar vein to Parliament?
Just gonna repeat myself because no-one responded :(
i really can't think of any... you know Funkadelic I assume?
I need some metal with a fretless bass please! Along the lines of Cynic, Obscura and Death
Augury, Iced Earth (the albums with Steve Digiorgio) and Pestilence (the albums with Jeroen Paul Thesseling)
i really can't think of any... you know Funkadelic I assume?
Aye, looking for something a bit less well known than them though.
I've been really into Neutral Milk Hotel for the past month or so, any bands in a similar vein to them?
I've been really into Neutral Milk Hotel for the past month or so, any bands in a similar vein to them?
Get anything else by The Elephant 6 Recording Company like Apples In Stereo, Elf Power, Of Montreal, and the Olivia Tremor Control. [editline]7th October 2011[/editline] also check out The Decemberists, Guided By Voices, and Sebadoh
I absolutely love classical music. However, my problem is that I love a very specific type of classical music that falls along the lines of pieces like "Danse Macabre", "Russian Sailor's Dance", and other things like "Marche Slav", so basically like it really melodic at time and at other times dark and even marchy. Any suggestions?
Suggest me something different.
Suggest me something different.
I see you only have 1 Kvelertak play on last.fm, you should definitely listen to them more, I've really been digging them lately. And since you've listened to them, you definitely know that they're different... [editline]8th October 2011[/editline] Also Giles Corey if you like Have a Nice Life, and pg.99 has some different sounding stuff if you're into skramz or hardcore. This song particularly comes to mind:

But your other suggestions are stuff I need to check out.

Anybody suggest me some Prog. Metal similar to Devin Townsend's album Terria?
Suggest me something different.
Different to what?
