can't say i'm a fan of that, decent but not really what i'm after
Well besides stuff you've listened to recently do you have anything in particular in mind? Because I saw you listened to Dead Letter Circus and thought you would probably like CIM since they're in the same vein but it would help if I had a little more to go on.
Anyone know any songs similar to these?

The first 2 songs have the same singer, but her other songs don't click the same way they do.
I'm looking for intense, multi-layered songs electronica/techno songs, best described as the second half of the first song.
Can anyone recommend me anything like Pretty Lights?
I'm looking for really heavy and dark music with shoegaze elements, in the vein of Salem.

I think it's called witchhouse or something.

You should try to branch out into some other genres because you only have rap
But as far as rap recommendations go:
A Tribe Called Quest, Dr. Dre, N.W.A, The Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, De La Soul, Blackstar, Mobb Deep, Das Racist, Danny Brown, and Gorilla Warfare Tactics.
Just thought I'd share this:

Tape Inbetweening are a cool ambient project who create pieces solely from found recordings and the like. The album's free and you can find a download link in the description of that video.
Too mainstream for me now, gosh. I remember back when they had 51 listeners on last.fm! Harumph.

I think that it would be the best course of actions to acquire Merzbow's entire discography and listen to nothing but that for the rest of your life

are you just bored with that sort of generic rock stuff? maybe listen to more experimental music. try the Velvet Underground's first album. Maybe some jazz music too, that's a completely different experience from rock.

Have you listened to Death Grips yet?
Listen to Drake's music, you'll love it. You can check the song too featuring rihanna:
What's my name?
It can perk you up!
I wanna open up some more (have done that a lot lately but not enough) and I'm open to much.

Well, if you want some satrical comedy metal, listen to GWAR. I personally think they're amazing musicians and great comedians.

Anyone know any slow gloomy Crust Punk bands like Amebix?
Best album by:
Jimi Hendrix Experience
Black Sabbath
The Beatles

hard to say for any of those...
I like Are You Experience for Hendrix, but Electric Ladyland is maybe just as good but very different. Get it for a more psychedelic sound if you prefer that.
Basically all the Sabbath albums with Ozzy are worth getting, my favourite would be Master of Reality, but it's really close.
For the Beatles it has to be the White Album, but I'd listen to their previous albums first.

Gimme the best Slayer album. I feel dirty for not listening to them.

I'm normally a punk/ska guy overall. my Favorites, being a bit more eclectic than just punk, are Screeching weasel, the Vandals, the Descendents, GWAR, System of a Down, Ministry, Mr. Bungle and Queens of the Stone Age. I'd love some more stuff like that. Especially like System or Queens.
