can anyone suggest to me some jazzy drum and bass, much like this: I like that whole melodic vocals thing at 4:20 (heh) in addition to the saxophone part.
Roni Size & Reprazent Calibre
give me anything that sounds like american football
Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate) and The World is a Beautiful Place And I'm No Longer Afraid To Die You might also like Moving Mountains (their first album Pneuma mostly, after that they delved more into post-hardcore and their post-hardcore stuff isn't good at all). [editline]26th November 2011[/editline] A Bunny's Caravan too
Looking for melodic music in different genres with minimal to no vocals/lyrics. I dislike lyrics. Heard quite alot of VGM covers so something original is preferred. Anything one can suggest?

Kind of a weird and specific request but does anyone have a song that has sort of two acoustic dueling guitars, other instruments are alright but I want the guitars to be the focus of the song. Like this: Only I think one of the "guitars" in this one is a mandolin.
Gnarls Barkley, amazing soul duo.
I need some more sad music with an ambitient feeling like this:
anything at all related to late period Talk Talk is GREATLY appreciated. I know Bark Psychosis, but don't like them nearly as much and don't think they're as similar as most people do... I also love Stars of the Lid, who are inspired by Talk Talk and Miles Davis' "In a Silent Way" which Talk Talk was inspired by. So even stuff similar to that wouldn't be out of line. I haven't listened to many 2011 albums so can someone recommend a recent album to listen to? Anything, as long as it's a great album
Burst Apart by The Antlers
Ugh I need this before 2011 is out, I've been holding off for the sole reason that I know it won't be as good as Hospice.
It's really not fair to compare it to Hospice, which I think is why a lot of people didn't like it. It's not as raw and emotional but if you look at it as a stand alone album it's still got some fantastic stuff, just in a different style.
Anyone got any ambient music along the lines of this? Kinda airy/not depressing shit.

Aphex Twin seems to have a confusing discography. Which albums should I check out?
Well if you jst start with his reglar full length albums and go in order you should be good, there's only 5 of them. Start at the beginning with Selected Ambient Works and the next two, or if you want to hear his more dynamic stuff skip ahead to Richard D James Album and Drukqs. Either way get the Windowlicker single and the Come to Daddy EP as well, cause well they're short so doesn't make getting into his discog more daunting. also check his RYM page, it nicely organizes his stuff so it isn't really confusin http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/aphex_twin
Any essential funk?
Any essential funk?
Sly and the Family Stone - Stand! Parliament - Mothership Connection Funkadelic - Maggot Brain

Anybody have some good piano driven music? Preferably in the vein of Mogwai's Mr. Beast album or Eluvium.
Can anyone recommend me some quality Jamaican/Carribean music? I don't care if it's reggae, ragga, dub, dancehall, just looking for some good vibes

Whats some trip-hop similar to Massive Attack or Portishead?
Whats some trip-hop similar to Massive Attack or Portishead?
Not exactly trip-hop but check out Submotion Orchestra. They give off a similar mellow vibe. Their sound is also a bit progressive and inspired by a variety of chill / mellow sub-genres.
