Any groups like either Godspeed You! Black Emperor or Caribou? Been in a mood for either of those styles of music, even though they are pretty different from each other.
I need more of this type of Black metal.
I'm looking for anything that has a post-rock/industrial sound like Ghosts like Nine Inch Nails. Good tracks as examples would be numbers 2,11, and 34:

This video also has a good custom soundtrack with the dark kind of atmosphere used to portray what's being seen through music that I'm looking for:

Which Brian Eno album should i start with?
apollo: atmospheres and soundtracks is a good entry point for someone who doesn't listen to ambient much. most people will say A1:MFA but i feel like it's something for people more sunken into ambient music

Very yes.
Also Johnny Cash of course.

not a massive fan of Pink Floyds Live stuff. Gdansk is very good, but the other stuff is pretty menial. Entertaining to watch, but not so much a listen.
Try Roger Waters In the Flesh
Try Roger Waters In the Flesh
Expected it to just be The Wall, but it has songs from different albums on it. I'll look into that.
Give me slap bass.
If I listen to it enough, I can break free of my white-boy limitations.

I want more stuff like Radiohead's more experimental electronic-y stuff like this

and Sufjan Stevens's Age of Adz-type stuff like this song

not really sure what you'd call that

Tycho is an amazing artist, and for that I salute you. I really like the music, but I'm looking for something with more of an artistic disposition and less of a back beat. Something bit like modern classical mixed with post rock is more of what I'm looking for in this particular request.

Dig into some trip-hop for stuff similar to Radiohead, I don't have too many specific reccomendations.
As for The Age of Adz, Dan Deacon is really the only person I've found that makes music anywhere remotely close:

Second song is more like I Want To Be Well than the first.

I especially love how the sound switches between each side. I don't know why, but I fall asleep listening to this song so very quickly. And its very relaxing sleep.
Agalloch
Mogwai
If these trees could talk
Sigur Ros
Days of the new
Deftones
isis
Pelican
Explosions in the sky

Thought I'd ask this here for some input.
So I'm trying to find a good song to use in this trailer. It's for a film series project of mine. It follows a police officer that ends up being the first survivor in a series of copkillings, costing him his hands. Teaming up with his old police partner, the two go under the radar and descend into the world of private investigation to find the copkiller behind it all. Throughout the investigation, they come across a murderous sleepwalking druglord, a criminally obsessed ex-partner, crooked cops, corrupt politicians and much more.
I guess I should tell you what I'm looking for in terms of musical style. The series itself is very neo-noir. The style I'm shooting for with the trailer is very similar to the first trailer for the english version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, in which a lot is presented very rapidly to the rhythm of "Immigrant Song", giving a lot to look forward to without revealing much. So... music that is really... fast, invigorating and powerful, with that strong "oomph" evident in things like the aforementioned trailer and other songs like "Seven Nation Army" and, as a slower example, "How's it gonna End."
So... any ideas, guys?

Sounds too light for a neo-noir movie.
Maybe something with a darker mood, like

I focusing more on the "fast, invigorating, powerful" part of what he wanted. Not the Neo-Noir part
