Does anyone know any good electronic artists that make futuristic-ish music? kinda like this: or this preferably not dubstep
Now to something slightly different, recommend me some awesome modern electronica.
Amon Tobin. He really pushes what defines electronic music. His music has an electronic feel to it but it's very organic, I think you will like it. Also check out Lights Out Asia. [editline]1st July 2012[/editline] Also try Swarms and Submotion Orchestra.

Currently reorganizing my music on my hardrive to make it less of a mess and I just got me some new music.
I would like to hear more songs that can be described as... well, I suppose sobering, or somber. Soft stuff. I'll just post links to examples, that way I don't lag the page out. Ashtar Command - Deadman's Gun Land of Talk - It's Okay Gorillaz - On Melancholy Hill

A couple tracks I like:

That should be a good start. I have no idea what "sobering" means musically, but these are soft, as you requested.
I've been looking for more instrumental spacey music, similar to Infinity Shred OR some more sobering music about insanity like Pink Floyd. The one thing I hate, love songs.
I have been listening to typical core music for a while, everything from DGD to Alexisonfire to Enter Shikari. However I am shifting away from that somewhat toward bands like La Dispute, Pianos Become the Teeth, Defeater, Make Do and Mend, Touche Amore, and letlive.. Guide me facepunch. [editline]2nd July 2012[/editline]
Can anyone suggest something similar to Fall Out Boy and The Offspring?
For Fall Out Boy I guess try Hands like Houses. For the Offspring I'd say Against Me! but you probably already have it.

I guess try some 80s hardcore, I recommend Minor Threat but there's a lot of good ones to choose from.
I just need more music, I want to get into more genres and expand my music tastes beyond my normal comfort zone (AKA Death/speed/thrash/prog Metal, pop-punk and alternate/classic rock)

Hurtbreak Wonderland if you want peaceful, slower stuff, Seven Idiots if you want everything.

Try some hip hop, soul and jazz. Guaranteed to feel some new flavours within those. Also since you like Rodriguez, you have to try some cuban jazz = Buena Vista Social Club and some Samba soul = Jorge Ben
Something similar to this perhaps: I fucking love Hugo Diaz

It's really great experimental electronic stuff.
Anyone know of any summery guitar music like this?

What kind of Genre is this? I don't really like the deep-voice screamo-y parts, but I love the mix of violins and guitars and instruments like that. I would really like to find more instrumental music like that. Saltillo also has something similar to it.

Definitely some black metal and death metal in there too but if you don't like the harsh vocals neither of those genres are for you as they're usually 100% harsh vocals. Opeth would be a good place to start with this sort of prog metal I suppose, they aren't instrumental but Mikael's growls are really easy to get into. If you like the black metal parts at all you might want to try Alcest as well. Definitely more mellow than this but it's very accessible black metal(ish) stuff, especially the album Ecailles de Lune.
Any good piano based rock?

What's some more music that's similar to Orange Goblin?
Any good piano based rock?

Any good piano based rock?
Billy Joel, his whole discography really, there is not a single bad album. I love him.
I'd like some summer in the city music, if that makes sense. Something like Juicy by The Notorious B.I.G.
Can somebody recommend some dark indie rock akin to Editors or Joy Division please?
^Brand New's album The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me is an absolutely seminal melancholy indie rock album. Disintegration by The Cure would also be perfect for that, probably a bit closer to the two artists you listed too.
