anyone know more music like this?
Based on this: According to the soundcloud I got it from, the genre is Electronic Pop. I like that electric, synth filled kind of sound. To try to explain what I'm talking about, use the melody in this song:
You should take a look at Watsky if you into hip hop/rap or listen to Daft Punk if your into.... Music all together...

Anyways, if you haven't yet, listen to: Emerson, Lake & Palmer Jethro Tull (Thick as a Brick is their best IMO) Gentle Giant Camel Kalevala (Obscure Finnish band. Very nice original sound) The Flower Kings Focus (Not exactly accessible vocals, but Hamburger Concerto is an instrumental album) Curved Air Some more modern stuff: Porcupine Tree (And Steven Wilson's solo stuff, especially Grace for Drowning) Transatlantic Hypnos 69 Liquid Tension Experiment Artension Phideaux The Mars Volta For Prog Metal: Devin Townsend (Debatable, but I personally consider Deconstruction (album) to be very prog) Dream Theater (Also all the band members' solo albums) Symphony X Tool Heavier Prog Metal: Periphery Chimp Spanner (Instrumental artist, so might be more accessible than the rest)* Opeth Meshuggah Animals As Leaders (*) Strapping Young Lad (Debatably not prog) And since you like Prog Rock, you might also like Math Rock: Jizue Mouse on the Keys Toe Té

Used tables to save space Hopefully that'll keep you busy for a while.
I like Black Keys, Alt-J, Band of Horses. anyone have other recommendations?

I really liked the Dredd soundtrack, anything similar to it? I don't usually listen to that genre of music, so I don't really know what to look for Also looking for something similar to Franz Ferdinand

Normally I would suggest going for their earlier stuff, but their 'post industrial' stuff seems more similar. FLAvour of the Weak and Implode are great albums. [editline]29th November 2012[/editline] Meat Beat Manifesto has some neat stuff too.
I listen mostly to stuff like Pogo: Melody Sheep: Any other people that do stuff like this?
Have a listen to Odesza. They don't really use samples in the same way as that but their music has a similar vibe. You might like Four Tet as well.

Hey guys, I'm looking to get into some modern classical music. Which composers should I listen to? I would love something that sounds like this. (It's the only thing I liked about that movie)
I need some dark, moody thinking music for a hard time such as:
This is an odd request, but does anyone know any songs with a "Woo" before the bridge/solo, like these. 1:25 2:30

Any artists like Chinese Man?
I want to listen to something with a heavy emphasis on drumming, like the last 5 minutes of this song: I love it how the guitar and bass only provide slow and very repetitive riffs to set up the atmosphere, while the drummer pretty much takes over and owns the rest of the song. The drumming flows so well, it makes me wish the song just went on for a lot longer. Does anyone know of anything similar to this? It doesn't necessarily need to be metal, I just want to hear some powerful, impressive drumming.
