I don't think privatization will yield way too much technology until it actually becomes very profitable to go into space. Are there any large incentives at this point other than rich people wanting to go to space hotels?
Any company that needs a satellite means millions pouring into both the construction of the satellite and the delivery. Many people are conducting experiments in space (Bigelow aerospace currently has several stations larger than the ISS ready to be rented out to the highest bidder). Then there's the people selling supplies to keep any projects in space functioning as well as the delivery of said supplies. Space is currently the fastest-growing industry.
Not at all. Me in their shoes would focus more on expanding space flight then trying to get money for my own purpose. Corporations that are greedy won't survive since their greed will blind them to the point where they can't recognize possible threats to their corporation that resulted from their own choices. Of course, why are you complaining that I would be wrong about what I would do if you would? What would you do?
If I was in their shoes, I would hoard that money... seriously put yourself in that mindset and you will understand
Laws still apply.
Laws apply but how do you enforce em in space? Shoot a UN inspector up there every decade?
Space is gonna be awesome, unless red faction guerrilla goes down on the planetary colonies.
There better not be any companies called Liandri Industries involved or we might end up with some problems.
