HISTORY A2 UNIONISM AND THE PARTITION OF IRELAND
Is it bad, that I've done 4 A2 exams and have 4 left, and could really, genuinely not give a damn about the exams? I might get my grades (BBC) for my 100% coursework uni subject but even if I didn't, there is clearing but besides all that, I don't see an exciting future there.
Am I the only one who gets extra time and isolation from the other exam students due to IBS?
Yay, finished exams today with Maths C2.
Last day of Psychology A level (Biological, Social and Abnormality) and History Crown and Authority.
Not looking forward to the later. Just hoping the 25% extra time really does its magic along with my brain that seems to thrive during exams. :ohdear:
I really cant find the January 2010 f453 computing paper and mark scheme anywhere, i've found the ict one but that's the wrong one. Needs more computing students :(
Edexcel D2 tomorrow :frown:
So happy that English is finally over, that language paper fit in with the poem I know best (Question was about Limbo, picked Nothing's Changed) so I think I've done quite well
How feelings are presented is always easy to talk about though

I found that limbo really didn't have much in the way of actual feelings, so I did gifts from my aunts and compared it to love after love.
What did you do for section B?
Had French listening today. I also had my last ever session with my maths tutor today because my last maths exam is tomorrow. Feels bitter-sweet. However much I don't enjoy maths, she was a really nice woman. :crying:
i had a Biology GCSE yesterday! the questions were so unrelated to the syllabus my school is going to complain :D, SCORE!, someone was so pissed off at one of the questions that they changed the wikipedia article of it to this:(sorry the page has been updated)
A quadrat is a piece of crap needed by no one for no purpose. It essentially is a pointless square and a waste of space. Its only use it to be smashed to pieces. Next time a person from AQA decides to put a question about them in an exam paper when nobody knows what they are, will be the day that the students will revolt. Also next time before a whole other year of students revise for weeks to get good marks in an exam... write some questions that you actually need knowledge for rather than just S***
A '''quadrat''' is a [[square]] (of either [[metal]], [[wood]], or [[plastic]]) used in AQA exams to isolate the students who have revised too much, usually those with no life. The quadrat is suitable for sampling GCSE students, A-level students and other students who may be confused. It can also help to identify the teachers who have '''no''' life and are actually bothered to teach this to their pupils in the first place.
made me laugh!

The describe question - at school we're told to always do describe because it's easiest, and I agree, it allows you to show more skills (Describe a day from your childhood). I wrote about my first day at school, but made it sound really awful - tried not to mention that it was school until the last sentence.
I thought that limbo did manage to show a few feelings, like helplessness and confusion, but I concentrated more on Nothing's Changed cause that's the poem I'm good at. We only learnt cluster one so I didn't have a choice.

I had that exam - what did you say for the questions in the english section? I thought that was really hard compared to the easy french section. Apparently there was something about her boyfriend but I didn't hear that.

No. All the questions were in the syllabus. I revised and I knew what a quadrat is. It is used for sampling one metre squared.
The quadrat is used to find the number of organisms in a certain area via sampling. You are taught this in school, we did a whole lesson on it.

yeah I know, "your school isn't my school" but everyone I know knows what a quadrat is
Thing is im in year 10 and the books i had said nothing about a quadrat or any equipment like that, even my teacher agrees it was a question that was too specific. Also some of the questions were too simplified, if they had asked specific questions like in the mocks then it would have been so much simpler.
Sounds like your school just has a shit science department.
done as exams in computing, maths mechanics, english language and physics

I'd say that Biology is a strong science at my school, Chemistry and Physics though...
Well it's official, I don't know what I feel, but all my A levels are done for AS.
Psychology which is my stronger subject went into a complete shitter due to not being able to answer the 12 and 8 mark questions, ironically covering the topic of [highlight]stress[/highlight].
But, History Crown and Authority wasn't too bad either, and I could keep up the pace.
Who knows really. :ohdear:
Thank god I'm doing a btec next year.
Much more easygoing.
btec in what?
Art and design at level 2.
I know, careers, what careers?

Well here parents didn't want her to go on holiday because it was too expensive I think. And yes, I think they said something about her boyfriend. Also, they suggested that she only go for a shorter amount of time (one week.) I can't remember anything else. I'd need prompting.
I did English this afternoon. Did Presents from my Aunts in Pakistan and Search For My Tongue, then the celebrities one. Normally I like the describe questions, but that one was so fucking boring and patronising - a day in my childhood? What am I, six? I talked about the Stewart/Corden incident and Simon Cowell. I think I did good, better than last paper where the "advise teenagers" section became an insane rambling by a Coca-Cola marketer.
Anyone else got C4 tomorrow?
I think it'll be alright, barring the event of any horrible vector insanity.
Next maths paper tomorrow. It'll be nice to finish maths.

Good luck!
I had my last exam today, I am starting to think I should have revised but we shall see when I get my results. I am doing A levels by the way.
I'm in the US and took a chemistry a-level the other day and I'm pretty fucking sure I got an unscoreable, that was horrible

AS or A2 level? Depending on the subject, you might get on okay without revision if you listened in class.
Only 5 exams left...
French Reading (Monday)
History: Crime & Punishment(Tuesday)
Chemistry(Wednesday)
Citizenship(Friday)
Physics(Friday)
Very easy going for me, considering I had 2 or 3 exams every day last week.
French Reading on Monday and Chemistry on Friday, which is a god damn training day. Why in gods name would they do this to me!
