Took English Lit today. Was okay I suppose. I was hoping to get an A* but I don't think that's going to happen.

whats an a*? i thought it was a+
Took my RS exam yesterday, easier than I thought.
Took mine yesterday.
Pretty easy, I didn't really need to revise for it, you just need to know how to address questions.
Also, I'm having trouble figuring out if RS and citizenship count as two separate GCSE's.
I've heard a lot of people say they add together but my RS teacher said they are separate.
All I got is my first year uni exam tommorow...
Film History, 3 hours long...
then Screenwriting, 2 hours long.
Had RE, french oral, and media exams so far, they were pretty much easy, got english lit, physics, and chemistry coming up next week. These are like the only exams I've revised for, ever.

http://filesmelt.com/dl/flashcard_template_2.docx
flashcard templates.
Instructions!
Save the file twice (once as "questions" once as "answers")
Type your questions in each box.
Print page 1 (the page with the cards)
Turn paper over in printer so that the questions face away from you, and the top left hand box is at the bottom.
Write out your answers on the "answers" document, but make sure they are the OTHER WAY UP - i.e. whatever was in the top left hand box is now in the bottom left hand box and vice versa - they only flip vertically.
Print.
Cut out.
Revise before your exams/at breakfast/on the bus or wherever you like.

if you were on AQA, what was your roleplay? I had the one about home activities or something, and the ! question was "would you rather go out or stay in? why?" which was pretty easy. I failed on the conversation though, I was too nervous.
Well not failed, it just was nowhere near as good

Thanks, those'll be usefull!
I have a bunch of stuff coming up (GCSE) and im strangely confident.
Next year i'm going to go to college to do a diploma in games design and develpment, which requires 4 GCSEs, and i already have that, so any extra are just a bonus.
I should be revising, but y'know...
It was strange saying goodbye to everyone on the last day before this weird essentially-a-holiday-but-with-revision thing. I didn't ask that girl out even though i was going to. :bang:
My first exam coming up is a Physics retake. I'll hopefully do alright.
Im doing:
PE
English
Maths
Double science
Geography
History
Russian
Yeh im cool
Just wrote the second 1hr 30min chunk of my 3 Hour Media Studies exam. Subject was the Popular Press. Did pretty well i feel. Still got Biology this week, then i'm done 'till wednesday when i have a Resistant Materials exam. Then i have 10 other exams i'm too lazy to list. Good times.
GCSE's start in a few weeks, aside from my English Lit exam which is next week. I'm starting to seriously hate Of Mice and Men and Blood Brothers.
Ive got english next Tuesday.
"I jus' wanna pet it, George, honest!"

Can't remember exactly, I think the first one was asking where things are, and the second about a post office. Utterly failed the second roleplay, but I did pretty well on the conversation ofter that.

Poems raped me. They were so fecking hard this year.
Just had a biology exam (B2 and B3) How did everyone do? I didn't like that question about ethanol, it's not mentioned in the revision guide so I was clueless. I wrote something about yeast and maize starch and carbohydrase... ah well, it's only 4 marks.
I had a meeting yesterday with my teachers and head teacher about my 6Form work; we all agreed it would be best for me and the school to do 3 years of 6Form to complete my IT, psychology and law A-levels.
I'm also thinking of doing Open University as it would be better for me in the whole.

4 marks is still a lot in some cases. It's the little marks that you lose that often make you fail an exam. As it's a lot harder to get every answer of the high marks right, such as the 12/16/24 mark questions (if you have that many in bio.
As I learned in psychology, what the question is asking, may not be what the examiner wants to hear.
Had Higher maths an hour ago. Paper 1 was easy as, paper 2 was a disaster.
English Lang & Lit, Physics retake, Computing retake and an Economics exam next week; haven't started revising yet. Haven't even started reading the book we've been studying all year for English lit. Yep, I'm going to fail, but I'm sure I'll make up for it in A2! :unsmith:

These are all AS exams
German Edexcel AS tracks if anyone wants/needs them.
And thats exams over for me... just have to wait a few weeks for results

It was one of the high mark ones (I think most on the paper was 6 marks) but the grade boundaries are never higher than 35 out of 45 for the highest grade so those marks will hopefully mean nothing

Really? It was more or less the opposite for me.
Got my first exam on Monday, ICT, hopefully should be alright.
What did you guys think of the Biology? I didn't do Unit 1 because I've already done it, but Unit 2 and 3 seemed pretty tame, apart from that question about ethanol-based fuels production in Unit 3. I forgot to revise for that.
