This may be weird, but who cares? Why do you guys care? There aren't many annoying furries, unless your idea of being an annoying furry is...being a furry! Your extremely violent and aggressive opinions on these people are idiotic, they're just a bunch of adults trying to have a good time with other adults that share the same fetish, weird as it is, it doesn't hurt anyone so let them do it.
nofunpolice.jpg
figured out why people are bitching people in the video seem to have more friends than the people bitching
Online or RL?
RED LIGHT GREEN LIGHT Childhood! Noooo! [editline]11th July 2011[/editline] come back please!
It's the fact they actually try to make it into a lifestyle and a "culture" is what is annoying. It is a fetish, a hobby at most, but the way they invade public places and websites and start to spew there insufferable interests around like other people must find it funny or interesting. Also roleplaying doesn't create a culture at all and I ask you, what "Inside Jobs" and "Rules of Conduct" do they have and how the HELL it relates to having a culture. I know plenty furries that troll and just seek to irritate, or ask to get mocked by making really stupid comments and arguments, and you got to be really dense not to notice that.
Culture as one of the definitions (which is what we want) presented by Wikipedia is "The set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution, organization or group" They have a shared goal (to satisfy their fetish), they have shared practices (roleplaying), they have shared values (believe it or not, furries actually don't really like outside attention, if http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furry_fandom#Public_perception_and_media_coverage holds any ground (Furry fans' belief that they will be portrayed as "mainly obsessed with sex" has led to mistrust of the media and social researchers.) holds any ground, they are afraid of it, knowing how they are portrayed. And you can't blame the belief if some furries are bad at defending it.
This is the only furry I like
That was awkward, disturbing, retarded and funny at the same time. People sure are strange.
I wonder if you can cash in on this. You know, like Japanese maid cafes.
I wonder if you can cash in on this. You know, like Japanese maid cafes.
Definitely. There are furry books, furry videogames and I know a guy whos pretty mainstream in the furry community who does furry art (even though hes not a furry himself) and gets anywhere from 20$ to 150$ drawing furries either have sex or just read a book. Anything that can complete a furries "fursona". So yea furries are a big money pit and people should jump in on it while its still young.

Fantastic. :downs:
>post furry-related video >hundreds of replies in one day
Whenever anything furry related gets posted on forums like these its always the dumbest of morons who honestly think they are in a position discussing something like this.
Exploit people's stupidity for money? Fantastic. :downs:
People can make money off of any fetish they want as long as there are people are willing to buy it. I don't see whats wrong with it.
Exploit people's stupidity for money? Fantastic. :downs:
Isn't it the main fucking way to get money out there presently? All kinds of advertisement, all kinds of promoting some kind of a lifestyle for your "benefits" (which are actually an exploit to get your money for the companies that happen to supply the lifestyle with necessary products), wide range of political bullshit (power = money), the way the fucking shelving is made in the supermarkets to make you buy shit you wasn't planing on buying, just to name a few. I mean what world do you live in? ":downs:" kind? [editline]12th July 2011[/editline]
People can make money off of any fetish they want as long as there are people are willing to buy it.
People will make money off everything that's popular or can be made popular. End of the world is a great example.
Well, that certainly is a video of some furries
Why are you treating it like I've just discovered this concept for the first time?
Because you've implied that exploiting stupidity and gullibility is a bad idea? Which is the main way of doing business presently?
Because you've implied that exploiting stupidity and gullibility is a bad idea?
That's because it is. edit: There are so many ways a business can dictate its practices. I don't vouch for exploiting stupidity.
That's because it is.
If I can convince you that you really need my shit from the last weak and you've bought it from me, it was a great deal for me. I've just convinced you to buy something you didn't need, exploited your stupidity and earned money off it. How is it a bad idea? Do you have any idea how many things are bought that are not actually needed?
There are so many ways a business can dictate its practices. I don't vouch for exploiting stupidity.
You can either supply the actual demand (like for bread or water, without advertising yourself as a better product than your opponents, because that's basing on someone gullibility again) or you can convince people to buy things they don't need. Everything other than supplying the actual necessary demand is ripping people off. Bad for buyer? Well at least you are happy with the shit you didn't need. Bad for the seller? Yeah right.

A badly drawn piece of pornographic "art" on a canvas for 90 USD? No. I am basing my statement on the idea of the use of the object and the general concept of just preserving money in general.
People at a convention specifically for them, meaning that no one who opposes their views on what is fun cannot witness said convention? In a thread clearly labled "FURRY GAMES 2011?" People think the art is worth something, so therefore it is. Just because YOU don't think furry art is worth however much the artist is charging (which most of the time is too low for the artist to make a living) doesn't mean it's worthless. Do you say this about people with other hobbies? Those Steampunk people that were being drooled over in the other thread? Gun collectors?

I was the guy in the Referee shirt that convention was fun.
I want to throw up now
I love reading all these ignorant and discriminating comments that popup every time something like this is posted. Makes me facepalm because I remember that I am the same race as them, but it also reminds me how superior I am. For that I thank you. You can go hating black people again now. EDIT:
I see where you are going, but I simply do not see the material worth in buying (in this case from what imasillypiggy said, furry nick-nacks, sometimes warranting a king's ransom to purchase) silly little things I only see worth in buying resources that one will use day in and day out, such as a personal computer(in my case, components to help fabricate one as that is a more cheaper and attractive option) for communication, work, and play. And even if you say you only buy things you need, dont you buy games, candy, condoms and alcohol? You dont need that. Unless it is for fun, but then you have to accept that they can use money on things that makes them have fun.
you're not funny or even offering the slightest fragment of funny social satire every side is dumb and guilty of this, so don't go lampooning people
Cool, because that was entirely my point right there. I don't really expect someone who thinks selling art is exploiting stupidity. In that case, Da Vinci was a master of deceiving people.
For that I thank you. For some its there fetish so selling them it would be as wrong as welling someone a ball and chain if there into that kind of thing. If your talking about furry art well not all of its for a sexual thing some just like the art style and I see nothing wrong with someone commissioning art. [editline]11th July 2011[/editline]
that's because he actually made art and it's actually worth something
The my tastes are better then yours argument is probably the dumbest one there is.
Because you've implied that exploiting stupidity and gullibility is a bad idea? Which is the main way of doing business presently?
That doesn't mean shit. In the good old days, we had the inquisition, that doesn't mean it's not bad. he's saying that the main idea of doing business is a bad idea (which is). And how so? Advertising or implanting ideas in the heads of other does not have to be evil. Showing people something don't know about which changes their opinion is pretty much what debating is.
