Some people don't show any signs of being depressed. For the sake of everyone around them, they act happy and normal despite feeling horrible. It's not always to do with what's happening around her so it doesn't mean there was really anything wrong. It just happened.

I remember when my uncle commited suicide, I found him in my grandparents basement about a year ago. He was a trucker so he had a bit of a lonely lifestyle to begin with. He had 2 kids, each with seperate woman, who were about 18 years apart. He had gone into treatment for both alcohol and meth abuse. Anyway, 2 summers ago he had broken his foot and was unable to work so he moved in with my family. He stayed with us for about 3 months, and within that time I got to know him very well. I then went out to new mexico when he got his cast taken off, and when i had gotten back he had moved in to my grandparents house so they could look after him. At the time I would go visit my grandparents every Wednesday and friday, but because my aunt couldn't show up Thursday I went that day too. I said hello to hello to him inn the morning and had a small conversation about how the bread was stale, then I took my grand parents out to Ft. Snelling to walk around and have a lunch. When I got back my grandparents told me they had some pop for me down in the basement and so Iwent down there and blam. It freaked my out, but I wasn't crying or anything. He was clearly dead, so I just went upstairs and asked my grandfather to meet me in the kitchen. I told him the bad news, he then took my grandma outside and I called 911. Oddly enough I never cried about that. I didn't cry at his funeral, didn't cry randomly about it, didn't cry at all. I don't get any nightmares or haunting visions, I just kinda became numb to it. weird how the body and mind's defense mechanisms work.

Theres weird shit going on with all family's no matter how normal they seem. My mum burst out in tears at dinner today, fuck knows why but you just got to keep eating, don't ask questions and get on with. Sh'es not at suicide stage though.

She was a selfish bicth. Suicide is the MOST selfish thing you could ever do! But, I feel for you and your friend. That is one shitty Christmas present.

I mean sure to that extent it causes problems but being selfish in general can actually be a good thing and helps you do this thing called self-preservation...
