I'm sad... I wanted derrek to escape :( [editline]6th September 2012[/editline]
where is that exactly?
cloudy drink episode, host want to start a cat fight
wait that's it? Eh, the ending was weak.
wait that's it? Eh, the ending was weak.
The whole show was about defying viewer expectations and laying on increasing tragedy. That's really the only way it could end.
Aw it's over? I really hope they post some behind the scenes stuff.
The whole show was about defying viewer expectations and laying on increasing tragedy. That's really the only way it could end.
they could have had an electrical fire burning them alive, with frank at the crying "oh god oh god, oh, the fire, it burns". It fades to black then emerges a burn house, then a repair crew comes in and repairs everything while fixing the weaknesses to the house, the sex house is reborn and a logo "SH2"is hung. And at the very end the first contestant to the second season enters with their baggage. and the cycle continues On the last episode the baby is dead and everyone will die due to the not cooking the frogs.
That ending was extremely disappointing. The whole show basically escalated into nothing.
The whole show was about defying viewer expectations and laying on increasing tragedy. That's really the only way it could end.
It could of ended much better. Like if there was actually a reason for it all, even if it was something silly like Aliens. What happened hardly seemed like an ending at all.
It's the Onion, that's how it works.
R.I.P. frogs oh also Sex House
I thought the ending was good :( It fit in quite well with the tone of the rest of the show.
It's the sexy thing to do.
Doesn't really matter if the ending was weak, the journey to it was fucking incredible Also, I don't see how else it could have ended
[sp] seeing the outside and closing it up again[/sp] that was creepy
[sp] seeing the outside and closing it up again[/sp] that was creepy
It shows human nature quite well. We can adapt to horrible conditions, but when we get used to it it's hard to go back to our previous life.
I thought the ending was good :( It fit in quite well with the tone of the rest of the show.
How did it fit in? The rest of the show had increasingly horrible things happen to them and it seemed like they were going to die or something, but then it just ends and there was no motive for any of it. Considering the things that were happening kept getting worse i expected some sort of equally horrifying ending.
It could of ended much better. Like if there was actually a reason for it all, even if it was something silly like Aliens. What happened hardly seemed like an ending at all.
The network's obsession with ratings was the reason for it all, that's kind of the whole point afaik
So much for Derek's theory about them being on a ship.

But what's this? They have been alone for so long that they don't want to be free. Sex House is all they can do now. It's their only choice. Now they will die in Sex House. They can never be free.[/sp] tl,dr: this is a horrifying ending.
Next on lake dredge, the bodies of the cast of sex house!

When there's things like this in it and it just kept getting darker with each episode, i kinda expected something a little more than the ending we got. It seemed like it had been building up to something or there was some terrible secret:

Everything was out in the open the whole time. I mean, these people are imprisoned and all but forced into raping each other in order to make a fucking TV show. The hole in the window and a dark stain on the carpet suggest something bad had happened before they arrived there. That quote and several other things suggested things weren't as simple as they appeared, but it turns out they actually were in the end.
Next on lake dredge, the bodies of the cast of sex house!
Well, there's significant water damage here, so I'd place these at around 15 to 19 cents. Bodies of Sex House Cast Members *chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga* 15-19 cents
by first look the onion is a satire but oh my god its so much more
I'd like to imagine what would happen if the series continued. My guess is that they would strive forward, losing the exterior rooms to the mould until eventually they either have to stay solely in the main room or be forced out of it into one of the smaller bedrooms.
the ending was great. basically as bad as reality TV gets and as terrible as the situations are for the people, ultimately they do it to themselves.
the ending was great. basically as bad as reality TV gets and as terrible as the situations are for the people, ultimately they do it to themselves.
Thank you! I couldn't figure out how to articulate that and you said it perfectly.
They should make an alternate ending, and maybe some behind the scenes stuff after it just to hit episode 10.
They should make an alternate ending, and maybe some behind the scenes stuff after it just to hit episode 10.
if they went to episode 12 (a traditional set for many one time shows), it would have ended at the end of this month, so I though what was going to happen before I saw episode 9. nope, just the producers disconnected from reality failing at giving human beings the proper living environment enough though it is the human condition to survive in the most brutal places, that said a producer would still not be connected from the real situation due to the success of survival under their failure. It felt like watching the end to mass effect 3 except it was thought out.
It wasn't the mold, i thought that came from the bread or something like that. Then someone noted when they put the X sign at the camera was from 1984 and for the people who know the book or movie has the torture and brainwashing at the end. This episode felt like a gradual end to the series, but it also felt like it written for something that was intended to be a longer series. I still say they all die by frogs and the hobo saves derrek for some action.
Sorry if I'm a little behind, I ended up watching this on my phone and skimming the comments. Won't lie that I thought the ending was [sp]a little weak[/sp], but sort of fitting, in a sense. [sp] Basically, by the time they've reached episode 9 they've become completely and utterly destroyed mentally. Roughly 8 long months of being stuck in one building, little to no food, exposure to deadly mold, drugged for an unknown period of time, and unintentionally committing murder have left these people entirely warped to the point where returning to the civilized world seems impossible to them. In it's own right you could consider that a grim metaphor for the 15 minutes of fame people usually get from these kinds of shows.[/sp] Just my take on it. [sp] Also nobodies really talked about how after all this time the camera crew are still shooting and being "cinematic". It makes me wonder how warped they've become.[/sp]
