Why are people pissed that prices will get higher after the Jan redemption?
Normal PTZ: only 3 ways to earn PTZ
4x Normal PTZ: many more ways to earn PTZ than ever before
it's gonna be just as hard (or easy) to earn the prizes you want
the reason they are raising it, is because it will be easier to earn a lot of PTZ in a short time, it makes sense and is completely justified and fair.
I don't mind it, if the increase in points given can let us collect points in about the same time
Also if we can redeeme all the time. Then I wouldnt mind the point increase.

The release why they said early 2010 because thats when they hope to release Lockerz so more of the features can be used so people can gain more points more easily. Because it will be more easy to gets points they will have to put up the value of the prizes.
Don't worry about it, they have said the prices are not rising the prices in this redemption. The increase will come when they release.

I'm hoping I get lucky and get my MacBook Pro now. Then again, I might actually want to wait for the next line of them to get announced and save up more PTZ for the newer model when it gets announced. It should be coming soon.
So figuring the price increase, it's 1500 right now. I'll need 6000 PTZ for the laptop then, which puts me at nearly a third of the way there with only 3 ways to earn PTZ right now. Should be very easy to get the computer I want soon.
