Oh yeah, by the way, the next album's coming soon. I happen to be taking Gregah's place as the guy managing everything, too. So uh yep.
Yeah I'll add all other albums as they go along.
Make sure you do the threads right :v:
Anyone care to review?

Bam!
Must add to the OP immediately :smug:
I would be happy to review seeing as I've just downloaded the Ratings LP
Reset Panda - An Agreement
It's hard to comment on this, it's just an intro piece. In my opinion an Overture type track featuring all the ratings would have worked alot better, and this rating has no excuse to have changed down from the potential of the Agree rating (ie, politics) down to a 40 second spoken word track. I can't rate it.
Clovis - I Disagree, Reginald
This track is okay, but failed to give me a reason to play over it more than once. I was fond of the drum sound and reverberation but the synth of it kept cutting in and out which was a huge flaw on this track. The TB303 styled riff after that was pretty cool, but lost its charm just in time for the synth riff after that, to another bridge type part with the TB303. I also have reason to believe it is a TB303 emulator as opposed to a real TB303, because the sound is distinctly different. The end would have polished off the track well if it faded out, but it didn't, and not checking the time left, I was wondering that it would go into another part, then the next song came in. I felt kind of ripped off to be honest.
Funktastic Dog - Dylan's 420th Dream
The benefit of the not fading out of the last track (which I deem unintentional) was the lead into this was pretty cool. The sporadic chords and the stoner voice kicked in, which leads me to believe this was a smarked outtake that - due to the lack of funny tracks - was changed to make room for the superior Pepin track and to fill up the slot of the Funny track. The track is kinda funny, I would imagine if I was more into the drug cannabis I would understand the humorous levels in the track, but I don't get much other than stoner's relation to food when they're intoxicated. The song itself is too basic. It's just a filler. The three chords can not last a minute, and if it was any longer I would have skipped that portion over.
Hakita - Sunlight
The intro to this track would assume that Hakita knows his music well, but continuing in to the track, the three solos in the track aren't necessarily bad, but are just so out of key it's upsetting. And I'm not sure why nobody prevented him from pressing it as a midi, when they could have asked him for the midi file and fixed it up with synthesizers in a DAW or something. I have deleted this track from my library.
Puddlez - Buzzsaw
The pounding kick at the very start is a forgiveable mistake here, because the lead in to the track is very well done the way everything comes in. The clap seems a bit off, but it makes up for it standing out when the snare and everything else kick in. The synth line is practically immortal, usually while I hate repetition, I lasted the whole song without being bothered at all by the synth line. Those little touches to it really helped. The squareish waved bassline was also pretty cool. I'm just glad this track was here, because I was about to give up on the album. The mastering is also superb.
Puddlez - Information
Puddlez's next track really compliments and accompanies the previous track well and helps push the album forward as a listeneable release. The drum tracking on this album is mind blowing and the bass is astonishing. I also noticed the hats in the songs are actual recorded claps that shift around the place to go with the DnB loop. The tempo change is also a badass feel, but not something the song relies on, and the part at 1:44 where the tacky synth part come in was awesome. The part at the end where the kick gets pounded out of and the words jumble up also reminds me that this is the track for Informative, and without the vocal samples used I would be able to know this is the informative track by listening to the music. I think that the buzzes and glitches replicate digital information well, and this being a concept album, I really was happy that somebody was able to give a feeling like that through audio.
Reset Panda - Forever
A nice piano track where the instruments, while being able to tell they are not a real recording due to the loop factor, is incredibly convincing and whatever used to make this must have cost a lot of money. The strings floating above it also give it an even more solemn touch to it. The audio splitting round the middle also made it more listeneable, and it was almost like the song read my mind and cut out in the right enough time for me to enjoy it as long as possible without it being too long and getting bored of it. Once again, I was able to feel the "Friendly" in the rating.
Akayz - Tool For You, Tool For Me
I can obviously feel the rating of Useful without the need to read between the lines here as it is set in stone. The track itself however goes really well. At first I wondered if the vocals were made odd for a reason and sort of startled me, but when I started to understand what he was saying and confirmed the vocals were made in a mechanical sort of fashion to fit the Useful theme, I thought it was very well done. And the piano that leads it out is also really cool, if it wasnt there the track would have felt empty. I like it.
Pepin - Friends
This track is the second one that felt human, yet the first to feel like an actual song that wasn't computer reliant to make, which is something that was awesome - I'm not sure if this was intentional either but I found the rating Optimistic in it as when the humanized feel of the song bursts through all the artificial music, it's rather heartwarming. It's hard to describe but I hope you guys get what I mean and when I'm talking about the humanization relating to the optimistic rating. The track is very well done, the vocals are sub par, but cheesy fits the theme very well, along with the backing chords in the solo. The overuse of friends leads me to believe it was a "Friendly" rating outtake, but it still suits the theme Optimistic very well.
Kanonier - Orion
The artistic rating was hard to make out here, because it was sort of lacking. I wasn't convinced to listen to the song until the chord sequence finally changed, and I thought that was really cool and gave the song the needed structure. The drums and the reverberation given to it was also awesome and gave a mild outer space/wilderness sort of feel. The last 1/3 of the track polishes it off really well. Good track, but not something I would have put in the album as artistic.
Akayz - Late at the Gates of Hysteria
An homage to Pink Floyd? Akayz yet again surprises me with a decent track after continuously claiming he has no knowledge. The thing I like about this track is how it reminds me of when my alarm sets off when I have to wake up early to help my dad on the farm, and some times my brain just loses it after hearing it so often, so I can really relate to the hysterical alarm clock feel. The way it comes out yet again compliments it like akayz previous track, and the Late feeling was something also more indepth than a few clock sounds. I really liked this short but sweet track.
Pepkayz - Boxed on Saturday
I'm more inclined to review the Middle part on this track than the start and end, so I will. Pepin yet again gives a nice human feel to the album, and the mix of styles and genres in his track really compliment the Dumb rating, in a good way. I was able to grasp the feel of it being dumb other than a reason that thankfully nobody pulled - where a track was made that was awful and effortless and just thrown in to be dumb, but credits to Pepin and Akayz here for taking an advantage of the Dumb rating to give it a good final pure track. It kinda excuses the agree track for being a vocal intro. The way Pepins track leads out is also pretty cool with the guitar bends over the bass. I dunno why but it had a nice groove element.
Pepin - Smarked (Bonus Track)
Yet again Pepin pulls out a nice track. His vocals are more fitting here, and the solo sections are good, but I wasn't able to grasp the smarked feel. Something like a drone or psychedelic track would have been alot more fitting here, but it's only a bonus track and for me it doesn't count anyways.
Simply put - it had potential, but was uninspired, not made well enough for the most part and was too rushed. If the album fit together a bit better it would compliment every track, but the album still to me feels like a bunch of songs compacted in to the one. I hope you guys can take my badgering as constructive criticism, and while you may think I didn't enjoy the album at all, I am really looking forward to you guys releasing your next album(s) so I can see how you guys learn from your mistakes and develop well. You are all great songwriters and I'm sure if you all tried hard enough and long enough, you could work together a really well made memorable album.

Hakita - Sunlight
The intro to this track would assume that Hakita knows his music well, but continuing in to the track, the three solos in the track aren't necessarily bad, but are just so out of key it's upsetting. Well, its an old song of mine, so yeah, the solos can be quite bad, but I remade it later.

And people didn't prevent me from pressing it as a midi, because some people enjoy midi music.
Yeah, projects aren't seeming to pick up steam. Maybe later when Summer gets better we'll plow through :smug:

I remember inacio and yurko released a collab album here too.
If anyone can find it I'd be happy to post it here.
Just added Inacio/Yurko's Blanched Haze album into the mix. Chiptune fans will love it.
