Went quite the opposite way for me, but I have a weird Gorillaz history. I started with their self titled album, then went to Plastic Beach, then Demon Days. I didn't like Plastic Beach at first because of how different it was from their first album, which was what I was familiar with, but after repeated playthroughs of PB and Demon Days, I appreciated its style more and more. Seeing them live certainly helped too.
To be fair, I can't get enough of their debut. Great album.
Oh god live gorillaz is one of the worst things i have ever seen/heard, but the albums are superb, i'd have to say Demon Days is the best one, but melancholy hill surpasses everything.
