Answering some comments I've been seeing in an attempt to give a less biased view of the whole thing. This whole thread is a shitstorm, the level of butthurt in here from both sides is amazing. Basically, the show has a very "love it or hate it" effect on people, where there's almost never a middle ground. Those who love it embrace it wholeheartedly and become obsessed, while those who hate it do so with a passion (mostly targetted at the aforementioned "lovers"). Once you've been a brony for long enough and you've gotten to the point - that is when you're willing to call yourself one - chances are that MLP has taken over a good portion of your life. I don't know why the show has effect on some people, but as someone who's experienced it first-hand, it's like an adorable tumor that can't be removed or given chemo. Once you've seen it and found that you actually like it, there's no escape and it only gets worse. If you've gotten to the level where you're willing to buy pony toys you're completely fucked, but luckily this only happens to a subset of people (i.e. the neckbeards in this video). The farthest that most people get is having pony avatars everywhere, which honestly I think is still taking it too far. There's really no middle ground in the fanbase, either you're an obsessive fan who doesn't fap to horses, have a pony avatar, and/or buy merchandise, or you're an obsessive fan who does one or more of those things. Yes you are free to watch the show, and in the same way people are free to make videos like the ones in the OP (yeah to some the idea of live and let live is only fine and dandy as long as it benefits them).
