• My Little Brony: A closer look into the pony fandom

If I could just say one more thing on the topic, when people use snippets and threads from sites like Ponychan with the porn and stupid shit and say it represents bronies, its pretty much like me saying that 4chan represents Facepunch.
...What?
oh, thanks for pointing that out should have added the extra comma. "well what ever, their money, right."
I guess so. Well, I guess they fucked themselves in that right, but it shouldn't be BANNABLE to make a thread. Maybe for posting pony reaction pics and shit, but like I said, if dragon porn is OK, why not a thread for ponies? I don't know, that's just my opinion.
people in the dragon thread arent as retarded as the people who posted in the pony thread
good god, went on equestriadaily.com just to see what it was i couldnt stop myself from cringing
Live and let live* * Excludes people who try to force you to do something or stupidly boast about their fandom in public / flaunt it in public, then it's acceptable to rain hellfire down upon them.
Hey guys, what's going on... oh.
This is so funny It's immature generalising hatred like this that seems to come around every next year. First furries, then mass effect fans, now this.
good god, went on equestriadaily.com just to see what it was i couldnt stop myself from cringing
What exactly made you cringe on there? I'm guessing it's the many fanfictions (only of which 2 or 3 are actually well written) Or is it the very few over obsessive fans in the comments? If you're wondering, I'm actually curious.
I'm not saying they're idiots, i'm just saying how is MLP any worse than this?
aren't as fucking obnoxiously horrid as mlp fans
aren't as fucking obnoxiously horrid as mlp fans
Again, most MLP fans aren't obnoxious about it. You dont hear from the non obnoxious ones because they keep to their own forums. The 10% of the community that try to shove it down everyones throat are the shame of our community.
What about if I watch the show, but I am not a brony?
Why weren't the old pony threads in the T.V/Movie section? It is a T.V show.
What about if I watch the show, but I am not a brony?
Then you're like about 40% of the community that like the show but dont identify with the brony label
people in the dragon thread arent as retarded as the people who posted in the pony thread
Wow, I seriously laughed out loud at this. If the lead mod was a hard core pony fan, I guarantee the pony thread would still be around. Only reason why the dragon thread is still around.
Wow, I seriously laughed out loud at this. If the lead mod was a hard core pony fan, I guarantee the pony thread would still be around. Only reason why the dragon thread is still around.
sucks for bronies then doesnt it?
sucks for bronies then doesnt it?
Not really, we moved on and made our own forum.
Why weren't the old pony threads in the T.V/Movie section? It is a T.V show.
The pony megathread was in the Film and Television section, but after a while it got moved to chat threads.
Ugh, those forums have attracted so many obnoxously over the top bronies since their creation...
Canterlot? I've yet to have any real issues with the community, very nice people.
Matter of opinion. I used to be super admin on there, but I didn't really like the forums very much.
should of went pr3dator on their asses
lol guys watching a fucking pony show. lmao basement virgin nerds at its finest.

I visited a MLP forum once and I swear butterflies, rainbows, pixie dust, female fragrances, and smells of toy stores came out my monitor. Seriously, how can any male above the age of 10 think it's appropriate to watch this kind of show? All I remember of MLP many years ago was that it was nothing but a bunch of dolls you could get at stores like Wal-Mart and Toys'R'Us and little girls adored them. It also had the occasional commercial on TV. Maybe a small cartoon on it? Can't remember exactly because I didn't give a shit about a girls toy back then. Then there was a huge time gap from when I last seen or heard of them. Now it has it's full blown show, has a bigger male audience than it's intended targeted audience... you know little girls? A lot of people in forums all over the internet are all changing their avatars to MLP related characters, and throwing MLP shit around like it's their sole destiny to do so. What the fuck happened?
Somebody developed a good cartoon that just so happened to use MLP characters?
Good is a subjective term.
I never said it wasn't.
I love how they use the Dragon Megathread and how retarded it is Excuse me, But If I remember right, The Pony megathreads were nothing but a shitstorm of idiocy with the mods trying to keep up with the backlog of banning
Ugh, why is this even an argument? The bronies left for other forums.

What the fuck happened?
Who's to say whats considered "appropriate". Have you ever heard the expression "dont judge a book by its cover" because if you did you'd realize that most "bronies" like MLP for the same reason some people like Adventure Time and Regular show, because they're genuinely good cartoons, something which is rare nowadays. Whatever, just my 2 cents.
That was because of people coming in for the sheer purpose of trolling and annoying those who actually like the show.
in the end though, the bronies were continually warned about going batshit insane about the trolling, and told to report and ignore, which they failed to do. a lot of them were dumb as shit and just kept getting banned again and again along with the trolls, some even spamming peoples' profiles. ultimately that's the reason the thread was closed and garry later decided to ban them, because they had to be coddled.
