True, but fan art shouldn't be placed into consideration as it does not officially and directly reflects to the actual series. Of course, you can always ignore them.

well actually in the show with the socially awkwardness, it's about the main character coming back to society.
he locked himself inside of his room for 4 years and basically it's about a girl who tries to bring him back to normalness
she's not actually wearing off of school, that's just a poster
in the show she wears regular clothing and it's about them trying to go home again after japan is hit by an earth quake of 8.0

Why is anyone at all solely obsessed with anime cartoons? To favor only a certain locational art style in cartoons is kind of a shallow prospect. I mean surely there's more that appeals to someone in cartoons besides the way the characters look, but weeaboos only focus on that aspect but defend by saying their anime shows have "great stories". I'm sure SOME of them do, but a cartoon having a good story doesn't have anything to do with it coming from japan or pertaining to the anime art style.
What I'm trying to say is, if you actually enjoyed cartoons for every aspect of them, anime probably wouldn't be the ONLY kind that you'd enjoy.

I've watched many animated western movies too, some of them are just as good(some because there aren't a lot)

School are usually the sidestories, unless you are watching a series which featured school-stories as one of the primary genre.
Just like most movies and Amer.Anime as well, all shows starring teenagers will have a significant portion of the stories happening at schools
I suppose my main reason for disliking it is because I'm a dirty, filthy, westerner and wasn't raised in Japan, so I won't get all the Japanese cultural stuff. That, and the framerates are arsebiscuits.
