Simple, blame my school. I overheard someone talking about this anime comic I used to watch. I go up to him and say, "Yeah that's a nice comic, I'm on Chapter 3." So then the fucktard keeps asking me about it, "Wasn't the part with -the girl- so kawaii!?" I look at him and go, "Errr... I'm more interested in it for the storyline." He jumps and goes, "Oh... me too." Now this is the trouble, because of perverts like him, they keep making these new animes with no storyline, just weird girls with big blue eyes. Really, I hate anime because of what the fanbase is warping it into. I'll occasionally look at some of the better ones, but most are quite frankly crap.
Cowboy Bebop: The fight scenes were pretty cool, but i didn't like the space fight pew pew stuff
Ghost in the Shell: Meh, robots and titties no thankyou
Black Lagoon: Sorry, i forgot to tell you i don't like watching women lifting heavy mounted machine guns and firing them with one hand without the slightest bit of recoil or realism.
Mind Game: What the :lsd: same category as bobobo, in other words, i loved it.
Baccano!: Meh..
Durarara!!: Same reply as above
Clannad: Looked at youtube preview picture, nope.
Darker than Black: Thought it was gonna be good, but sense anytime i see an anime with swords and crazy bladed string weapons, i immediately think of Naruto, which i detest greatly
Detroit Metal City: don't know what to say except i didn't like it
Also, i Loved all of Hayao Miyazaki work, including Castle in the sky, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Princess Mononoke
Even if you hate anime, you are not allowed to hate Miyazaki's works.
To do so would make you non-human.

I would rather not be associated with people who have a horribly distorted view of Japan and if it means not watching anime than so be it, I have other ways of occupying myself. I'f you're willing to take the risk for the sake of entertainment than best of luck to you.
Also Loony Tunes and Classic Disney cartoons are a [I]very[/I] bad example to use against anime. They share an astoundingly large number of similar characteristics (far more than modern cartoons, at least) and from what I've seen many of the people who refused to watch more modern cartoons after that era of cartoons died out ended up becoming weaboos.

I watch it occasionally. Not all the god damn time though. I don't really watch it as much as I used to. Last one I watched was FLCL.

I can't stand most anime. All of the characters seem far too similar, in terms of both appearance and personality. And even if I do get in to an anime, I can almost never talk about it since it's pretty much guaranteed that 90% of the fanbase is going to consist of weeaboo idiots who dream about how KAWAII DESU it would be if their two favourite characters became a couple.
That said, the only animes I've ever been able to enjoy are One Piece, Trigun, and Dragon Ball.

I've got nothing against anime or people who like it, I just tend to find it irritating to watch. So much Japanese stuff I see seems to be hyperactive, like a pre-teenage boy who's had too much sugar and is jumping on the bed rather than sleeping in it.
I hate it because I don't like the art style, I think it looks silly, and without it's art style, what is anime? It's just another cartoon, and most of them have shitty stories which are badly written and often perverse, so it's just another shitty cartoon, and why would I want to watch a shitty cartoon? I wouldn't, therefore I do not want to watch anime.
Also it's fanbase are usually extremely annoying and weird.
Lots of books suck, lots of movies suck, lots of games suck, anime is no different. But that doesn't mean that all anime sucks.
