Yeah I love the clean, realistic and geometrically perfect style of the more detailed animés. And the fact you can't tell foreground from matte. And I love that it's so articulated. But they can take their low budget still frames and their choppy low framerate animation and shove it.
And the lens flares, let's not forget the flares. I am a sucker for lens flares.
And I think Lucky Star is pretty funny, should appeal to anyone even remotely geeky really, not just weaboos.

I hate anime because I am a 22 year old man. In my opinion, the style is just gay as fuck to me. Little kid, pansy-Japanese cartoons just ain't my style. You can toss in as many guns, tits, and action scenes as you want.. still can't stand watching it for more then 2 seconds.

Because over only several years, anime(s) start to become waaaay over sensationalized, endorsed,(conventions, cosplay, ani-retards) and people hate the people, then the anime that creates the ani-retards.
Usually because they get way too much attention, especially from retards.
But some classics are good, and even a couple of them nowadays, I just can't stand the people who look at it like its larger than life.
I like a lot of the older animes shown on Adult Swim, also Full Metal Alchemist.

Yeah, there are some really intelligent anime out there that are often ignored by anime-bashers. Generally, the more popular anime have paper-thin plots with idiotic characters, but to say all anime is like that is completely untrue. Anime can be very serious and mature, featuring deep plots, unique settings, and interesting characters that are developed well.
