I don't like anime because I don't like different things and we should all be the same

Well, actually voices can be a very valid argument because almost all shows does have whiney bitches in them.
But a lot of it have to do with not being used to Japanese voices.
A good example I always take up when it comes to the much hated (for very understandable reasons) Lucky Star is that I was twisting around in pain holding for my ears when I watched/listened to the first episode. After I had survived that I got used to it and it was ok.
The main problem is when you just can't make out words out of what they say becuase you haven't really heard much Japanese, so all you hear is a high pitched voice blabbing away nonsense. Which is just as annoying as a crying baby. Same goes for the classic "They all look the same", that's just a problem with not having seen enough of it.
Just like we go "hurr durr, all Asians look the same" they say the same about us.

I don't know but I've never been able to get used to the voices in Lucky Star. It's one of the few times where I find the dub isn't that much worse than the original.

I'm tolerant of anime. I have a couple of friends who are really into it, and I'm fine with it as long as they don't talk about it too much with me. I hate it when people do the voices and shit. And I'll admit, I've read a comic called Elfen Lied before. It was pretty damn good. Usually people who are into it are fun to play TF2 or other games with because they actually have a sense of humor.

Most of the art and all of its sound seems so comical and childish to me, i can't take that stuff seriously. Ergo Proxy looks awesome though.

elfin lied wasn't really that great until halfway through
it's good the rest of the way, the ending was p cool.
