Anime - Why do most people here hate it? - General

Yep. You can say that the school is mostly full of dumbshits and you'd be right, but to say that the school as a whole is dumb is just wrong.

By that logic, there could me more good animes than bad ones but so long as you say that the other argument can't use these against you, you can carry on saying that all animes (that 'count' in your argument) are bad without being told you're wrong. Not saying that there are more good animes than bad ones though.

Mostly because western cartoons and comics are much better than eastern in every possible way.

then how come anime supporters use the same shit over and over again to prove their points (miyazaki, studio ghibli, ghost in a shell etc) it really gets old, and shows that they need to hang on to just a few (in the majority opinion) specks of gold to support their point in fact the reason they use those animes/companies is because many americans/critics like them

Im sick of googling up something in images to get anime of that show i typed up. IM SICK of seeing anime of family guy. Yea there is anime of family guy. It pisses me off and its just terrible animation with people screaming in japanese. It isnt funny nor is it cool. Thats why i dislike it

I really like those one-off anime movies from what little I've seen, such as that one with the poison forest, and also older anime. They seem less focused with jamming as much tits, gore, and cliches into each episode as possible.

You don't seem to be disagreeing with them on their opinions of said animes.[/quote] perhaps I can break it up into two groups 1. art anime (studio ghibli, steamboy, other animes produced for mass media) 2. everything else (lucky star, melancohly of whatever the fuck, fruits basket, spice and wolf, narutobleachonepiece etc.) while art anime actually has good plot and differs from the norm (because its audience isn't straight japanese), the majority of anime (everything else)is the same old shit over and over that applies to the japanese masses through the use of subtle pornography and (I guess) popular themes: hipster scifi, neko girls, treasure adventures, demon fighting, etc

I don't mind it, I've only watched Macross and Gundam though. Giant fighting robots were an integral part of my childhood. Other than that, just the generic 90's kid fare like Pokemon and Digimon. I'm not really a fan of Anime at all.

I'm not personally a huge fan of anime, but there are some that appeal to me. Rurouni Kenshin and Trigun for example. Both of them are pretty damn awesome.

Because it's extremely lame, and most of the people who watch it are morons.
