Lol, he's making some shitty pony game in RPG Maker too. He sounds so pretentious.
I'm trying to take this in. I really am.
I posted some comments asking him questions in a really friendly manner, not trying to sound like I'm looking for a debate. Hope he allows them and answers them only to make himself sound like a fucking tool.
This is comedy gold.
obvious troll bait [editline]18th May 2013[/editline]
I'm trying to take this in. I really am.
... okay maybe not
Who gives a shit if someone doesn't like Steam? One less asshole for the community to deal with.
This can't be real...Goodness.
Did anyone sit through the intro? Fedoras, Ponies, Wine glasses and Lightsabers. This guy cannot be serious.
I think there have only been two times I didn't like Steam. Once, when I lost some account info (my bad honestly) and it took customer service almost two weeks to respond. Second, when I was at a relatives and their net cut out for a few days; Steam got locked in it's "Start Offline? No connection found, ahah fuck you." Other than that, it's possibly the best fucking thing around. Download on demand games. The ability to transfer all your games between computers effortlessly, with many now bringing settings and saves as well. Instant messaging, friends lists, screenshots, games being linked into Steam so that you can just 'invite' a friend or join their game. It's basically got all the good things that some consoles provide, like Xbox live back in the day, with none of the downsides (subscriptions, forced content, ads, your console being a big, expensive brick when you're not using it.) Oh, and it's free. I mean it's fucking free. Fuck. :v:
His whole "no responses" and the words he uses initially that seem to degrade the people that use it make him come across as a massive cunt.
He said that Steam is a bandwidth hog and causes lag when it's opened. My internet sucks asshole through a vacuum hose and I never lag with Steam up and running. Then continues to say that game retail services can never be bad because they aren't your friend? What kind of sense does that make? It's the actions that they do that makes them a bad company in someone's eyes.
His whole "no responses" and the words he uses initially that seem to degrade the people that use it make him come across as a massive cunt.
He is acting defensively because he is probably surrounded by people who like Steam and give him shit for hating it.
Hah, if you read the comments you can tell that he only approves ones that agree with him or ones he can shoot down really easily what a baby
Why does steam get a free ride?
Because of customer loyalty; it's something you get when you don't consistently shaft your customers with sub-par service/products. Not to be confused with brand loyalty, which is something based on the perceived idea that the service/product will be consistent with the previous service/product simply by having the title associated with it, despite having not factually been proven to be consistent. The former is earned via the provider going above the expectations set in place, the latter is given via stupidity. This guy doesn't even understand the basics. What an utter bore.
am i wrong in saying that buying a physical copy of a game still only grants you the same type of license to play it that a digital copy does? you never actually own the game..
he makes some valid points but good lord he's obnoxious [editline]18th May 2013[/editline] also fails to do his research. there are many games on steam that do not require the steam executable to be running.
Hah, if you read the comments you can tell that he only approves ones that agree with him or ones he can shoot down really easily what a baby
and you can't rate his video. hmmMMMMM
EA drone.

Me: hey a thread on facepunch was made about you, you should totally check it out Him: No. ahahahaha I wonder if he actually knows what Facepunch actually is. Also he really hasn't learned anything from that tf2 review incident huh
"steam requires you to be online, yes i know there is offline mode but the steam .exe must be running for you to play your games" i don't understand how he can say that steam is required to be online when he knows there is an offline mode. does he not understand what offline means? "i like to physically buy my games because the steam end user agreement states that you dont own your games and you just have a license to play them" um hello when you install a game from your physical disk the same license contract is in the installer for the game.

"hey guys i'll let you buy things on your own accord, you're welcome subjects"
I really want to see him actually defend against solid facts like these:
I asked him and he said that he couldn't view this thread because he had to be registered. A shame, really. edit: what he'll probably do is go "YOU'RE ALL FANBOYS OF VALVE, THEREFORE ANY ARGUMENTS AGAINST ME IS INVALID :((((," like he did when people criticized his terrible Team Fortress 2 review
I asked him and he said that he couldn't view this thread because he had to be registered. A shame, really.
I'd send him an invite for the sake of seeing it happen but he'd probably get himself banned in milliseconds.

I just sent him a folder containing the two pages of this topic from Mediafire. I wonder how he'll react.
