Nice thread, although you should mention the FG42 as well.
The FG42 was barely issued, and if it was it was only used by paratroopers. Ok yeah I'm going to bed I'm making various spelling mistakes.
The more you know. Rated informative.
This is AWSOME more please
My granddad was a part of the Danish resistance against the german forces that occupied Denmark.. If I remember correctly, he used explosives or mines to take out nazi transports or nazi occupied houses. I'll look into it later to see if I'm correct. This got me interested :v:

No information on german load bearing gear?
No information on german load bearing gear?
Sorry no, only the things they wore and the weapons they used.
I know he pieced this together from wikipedia, but some of you guys seem to really be taking this too far. "YOU DIDN'T WRITE THIS, YOU LIED TO ME OVER THE INTERNET, I CAN NEVER TRUST YOU EVER AGAIN AND YOU ARE A HORRIBLE PERSON." :sigh: I think this is cool that he gathered all the relevant information into one thread.
