NEVER FORGET
[editline]7th November 2010[/editline]
One of the best submachineguns of World War 2
[editline]7th November 2010[/editline]

Maximum range of astounding 500 meters
Maximum range doesn't mean shit.
The effective range is about 150 meters.
I always liked Germany in WWII. My great-grandfather battled there, for the Germans. Spain always had a big link to Germany. (Main battle tank nowadays is the Leopard 2, Germany sent Spain Panzers for the civil war.)
I don't care. :smug:
ok, thanks for copy pasting
I remember the days when pulling shit like this was bannable.

This isn't 2008, get over it, also this.
I know he pieced this together from wikipedia, but some of you guys seem to really be taking this too far. "YOU DIDN'T WRITE THIS, YOU LIED TO ME OVER THE INTERNET, I CAN NEVER TRUST YOU EVER AGAIN AND YOU ARE A HORRIBLE PERSON." :sigh: I think this is cool that he gathered all the relevant information into one thread.
Also, Spain gets G36 E (Export) from us :smug:
And my grandfather was in WW2. (He wasn't really in combat, he was a translator for the SS)
My Great-Grandfather was in both World Wars, and survived both :smug:
(On the German side)
And you're not including the G-41 or G-43 why again?
Wow, took me like an hour to read it all.
Very good. :)
Or what about the Pak-40 because that was an infantry anti-tank weapon.
[editline]7th November 2010[/editline]
broke mah automerge
Someone should make a thread like this about the vehicles of WWII
broke mah automerge
And you're not including the G-41 or G-43 why again?
If you want to know why again, read the OP again.
And you're not including the G-41 or G-43 why again?
Not really issued, same for the FG42.
The G41 and 43 weren't standard issue.
If you want to know why again, read the OP again.
I read why but he should still include it because it's not exactly like the soldiers were pulling the rifles out of their asses they had to have someone issue the rifles to them.
Or what about the Pak-40 because that was an infantry anti-tank weapon.

Pak-40 was a anti tank weapon, and it wasn't exactly man portable. (Meaning they can carry it)
Panzerfaust means tank fist, not armor fist.
Panzer can mean armour or tank in German.
Pak-40 was a anti tank weapon, and it wasn't exactly man portable. (Meaning they can carry it)
The thread is infantry information and the Pak-40 was one of the infantry's anti-tank weapons.
No, its anti-tank artillery.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7.5_cm_Pak_40
Deployed and used by Brigade attachments, not the standard infantry units, like all the other weapons in this thread.

:colbert:
You see anyone carrying a Pak-40 on their back or by them selfs?
Or pushing it while under heavy fire?
No it had to be pulled by something such as a horse or vehicular transport.

That is a Pak-40.
I was convinced that this was going to be a thread pandering for information for an essay.
I was pleasantly surprised, despite the fact that it's essentially a copypasta. Nicely done, op :golfclap:

Pak-40s are made out of plastic?

You get the point.

I'm not arguing that at all I think if anyone could have picked one up and fired it they deserved to win the war, my point is the thread is titled World War 2 Infantry information and the german infantry used the Pak-40 as an anti-tank weapon, hence it can be included in infatry information even though it is a piece of artillery.
Everyone who is really interested in WW2 stuff should really visit the museum located not far from here.
It's in Diekrich in Luxembourg.
Also where is the info on the Panzerbüchse 39?
Not really issued, same for the FG42.

yes they were. The G41 was a trialled and not seen often on the Eastern Front but it was there.
The G43 in the end they produced something around 450,000+. More than they made of STG44's.

This thread is about standard issue infantry weapons. The Pak-40 was not a standard issue infantry weapon.

Just stop. :colbert:
Its considered artillery.
