This thread is about standard issue infantry weapons. The Pak-40 was not a standard issue infantry weapon.
Then the thread title is incorrect.
Just stop. :colbert:
Its considered artillery.

Fine Ill put the G43 in the OP.
I believe I just said that.
That is a point though, I came into this thread expecting something on the reality of infantry combat in WW2, slightly disappointed but it's still a nice thread.
My Grandpa fought in the Philippines in 1944. After two of his buddies died, he was stuck in Manila for a while, didn't get captured. He was found with his sniper rifle in a church tower.
He didn't talk about war much, and I don't blame him. I only figured this fact out right before he died of cancer.
Also where is the info on the Panzerbüchse 39?
Afdsdsa I totally forgot about anti-tank RIFLES.
I'll add that in a sec.
One grandfather was Yugoslav Partizan, other one was Chetnik.
In Yugoslavia there were 2 guerilla forces, so parents sent their kids in seperate ones, hoping at least one will survive.
In the end Partizans won, and thus Monarchy was overtrown and Communist started ruling (SFRY).
Updated OP with a G43 and a PzB 38.
Now back to work on the red army.
Instead of reading this, i'll just go play World At War.
All you did was copy and paste from Wikipedia...
I am a jew and i find this verry offensive.
Do you know that 273 million of jews were killed by nazis?
I demand being a moderator so i can stop stuff like this from happening again.

You can get deactivated grenades, such as the M24.
I know a guy who owns a WWII museum. He has paintings painted by Hitler (Disney characters and a nice watercolor cabin), Eva Braun's handbag and a toooooooon of cool sheit like that.
I don't think any uniform will ever surpass the sexiness of the German uniform.
Even fascism has a cool side.
He mentioned something about it not being common but the MP-44 wasn't that common either.

Fg42 around ~4000 made
STG44 around ~425,000 made
which one was more prevalent?
My grandfather was a paratrooper in the Red Army.
That must have sucked some major dick.
I was hoping for some cool rather unknown facts. But instead it's just common info.
Things like the budget for research on the first camo uniform, how the assault rifle came to be and how ineffective the Panzerbüchse 39 was.

The FG-42 is still worth putting on the thread, and besides just because that amount was made doesn't mean it all was fielded.

I didn't even know the Soviets had paratroopers back then.
You put down the MP-44 but not the FG-42?
He didn't mention the fallschirmjägers to begin with.
He didn't mention the fallschirmjägers to begin with.
Yeah because this thread is so content light and bad

yeah I know this thread is pretty bad. Putting a history thread on FP is dumb since it is just a bunch of preteens who's knowledge of WW2 comes from World At War.

I knew about that Russian suicide dog but not that :v:. I think that's where Iron Storm got the idea for the exploding dogs too.
