Aw I love that kind of snow! The way the ice feels when it cracks..
the way your neck feels when you slick on the ice, and you neck cracks
Got our first snow here in Denmark yesterday. Looking forward to our usually 2-3 months of snow.
24 degrees in Kentucky. Wind makes it feel like it's -5
Canada reporting in. -35c (which I guess is -31f) today I think was the low. We just got dumped on too which means there's car sized snow drifts, which upon closer inspection is a car eaten by a snow drift.
UK here. The Massive Whitish Cloud is still above. It's been around three hundred years. Still waiting for the snow yet! We've had similar issues with ice though, this autumn had some dire rainfall.
Snow in fucking TEXAS but none in Massachusetts?
It's so cold I didn't even want to get up earlier.
Snow in fucking TEXAS but none in Massachusetts?
It not really snow for us, if it basically either A) Powdered that it crumbles regardless or B) basically a freaking icerink wherever you step.
My lawn's ice was soft yesterday but melted and refroze over the course of last night. Now if you try to step on those steps you will skid down all of them, ramp off the second level of the lawn, skid all the way across the third level, fall off of that into the road, and skid across the road into the driveway across the street. Tested & verified. :(
It's supposed to be only a high of 32 on Monday & Tuesday in DFW, so the ice might not even melt by mid-week.
San Antonio is just really cold. no snow ):
I'm in southern Ontario and where I am there is hardly any snow, this is strange Even Australia has snow now
Quiet Hunter
Uh..What...
I was serious bout that snow ice cream tho. That shit is the best. This cold is hurting my joints like hell though. The metal in my feet just makes it worse. 20 degrees holy shit.
It's supposed to be only a high of 32 on Monday & Tuesday in DFW, so the ice might not even melt by mid-week.
I'm seeing more around 40, also in DFW. Surely the roads (at least the freeways and such) will be mostly cleared out at that point? I still fear my life driving around the apartment complex. I hear cracking ice outside right now...
Time for snow for the 3rd time. And then fourth on saturday in the north eastern part of oklahoma
UK has no snow! YAY Hate that white shit, melting and refreezing into ice. Can't walk outside without slipping.
DFW is totally iced over, I almost skidded into a tree.
I hit a guard rail. Fucked up both drivers side fenders on my miata.
Arkansas took a hit from the same storm. This is what I woke up to on Friday [t]https://photos-6.dropbox.com/t/0/AAB7ciLdDUO7Nyg3g2D-NpOGZng18_OyxkcI7HdL_8C1Ig/12/26934192/jpeg/2048x1536/3/1386482400/0/2/2013-12-06%2011.32.19.jpg/xoV1qxBMa-Pa-GDLcYkM7tnhYSVn3uwXO2AMo8kgf08[/t] [t]https://photos-5.dropbox.com/t/0/AAD02LLQPcFdD-gHqAb7iSMpv9DsxZtoATk_b3J-ZWzP3w/12/26934192/jpeg/1024x768/3/1386482400/0/2/2013-12-06%2015.09.00.jpg/zhBiM6Ce-olhST7DUFP8hc2LWER14273WdC93w1EUNc[/t] Apparently Little Rock only has like one salt truck. Buddy of mine totaled his car last night spinning out.
el paso here, no snow in sight, just a lot of god damn wind.
It wants to snow real bad in Montgomery but it just can't get the temperature.
Apparently, 1-3 inches are soon to be here in Northern Virginia, along with freezing rain. I've lived here my whole life (besides a year in the UK) and it still makes me burst out laughing when someone hears "SNOW!?!?!?!?" and then immediately buys water bottles, non-perishables and bullshit they really don't need like it's soon to become a biochemical wasteland.
I'm not from Texas, but I feel your pain. Northwest Arkansas just hit about 6-7 inches of snow last night. Today, it has compacted into solid ice. I can't even leave my apartment complex now without slipping everywhere.
I'm not from the US at all, but I feel like sharing this weird thing. Here it is about 5 degrees Celsius, (freezing point is 0c or below) and there's no here at all yet. While in the earlier years there was snow in this time of the year. In February 2012 the snow actually started coming down, while the winter was like ~12c or so.
I live in Virginia and Texas, and I'm in San Antonio right now. The weather has been fine. It snowed very SLIGHTLY about 2 weeks ago. It's just pretty fucking frigid here.
Day 3, ice has not receded. Everything will probably remain closed tomorrow, too.
Haven't seen any snow yet here in San Antonio, but it's cold as hell.
Roads are still awful in DFW. Even the highways.
The ice has softened back into a snow-like slush. I was able to traverse my lawn without a potentially fatal slip in order to replace a broken Christmas decoration.
Roads are still awful in DFW. Even the highways.
Gonna become black ice by tomorrow. Shit.
