It are not awesome, but it are okay. I enjoy sushi on occasion, but it are often giving me pains in the stomach or bad diarrhea.
I love sushi too
My step-mom is Japanese. So we eat this every now and then. I like those little orange egg things with the liquid in them.
Lol those are fish eggs.
I once tried fried sushi before. It was eh.
I've always wanted to try Sushi, looks delicious. Which is kinda weird since I usually hate seafood.
What's with all the food threads at the moment? Anyway, if it was easier to get a vegetarian version of sushi I'd try it.
Good luck it's not sushi with the meat in it
ooo I want to become taller
My friend has this for lunch quite often. I have it sometimes. Shame it's supermarket shit so the fish is usually sandwich filling which tastes pretty bad. But the fish shaped tubes of soy sauce make up for it. And the less sandwhichfishy ones are nice.
This thread surprised me on the amount of people who haven't tried sushi yet.
i love sushi, though i dont like soy sauce or wasabi
I thought Sushi was an uncountable noun(like milk or water) so isn't the title supposed to be "Sushi is awesome.." instead of "Sushi are awesome." Especially since sushi refers to the type of food as a whole. Oh look I'm late.
Wasabi : As i said before, wasabi is a japanese spice that mix well with Sushi, but be careful, this little fucker pack a punch. (It's the green paste, second pic)
This really grinds my gears. The neon green shitpaste you usually get with this stuff isn't wasabi but usually horseradish & mustard with some flavouring and food coloring sprinkled on it. Proper wasabi looks like this And needs to be grated very finely straight onto the sushi. Honestly, proper wasabi is MASSIVELY superior to what most companies pass of for it these days.
Shouldn't it be "Sushi is" and not "Sushi are"?
No. Sushi can't take a S as they are not english. So the plurial is the same as the singular.
First time i had it i hated it. But then it grew on me and I love it. but this shit is totally disgusting. (sea urchin sushi)
Volcano rolls are my favorite

And damn, it can be good but still really hard on the stomach if you take too much!
I always wonder with food, who did it first. Like in the words of billy connoly "Who was the first man to milk a cow and what was he thinking at the time..?" Like with that wasabi, i wonder if the first person to find it (and who didn't know it's properties) might have taken a huge bite out of it. I assume sushi came into existence after the persistent lack of proper cooking facilities. Maybe? I have yet to try sushi, i'm curious and others say it's lovely, but those are often the same people who enjoy KFC (to me it's just a mass of flesh, slightly fried skin and bone. Maybe it was because the only one i have ever been to was in spain. Or because out of lack of experience we may have ordered something bad. Either way it turned me slightly more vegetarian.) I guess i'll by a small amount to try sometime soon. It'll be an experience at least.
I'm scared to try sushi, I have a phobia of fish and haven't eaten any for years.
To be honest, sushi does not taste fish nor does it taste the weird ''Sea'' taste that everything that comes out of the ocean do. It taste what you put in it! So something it taste cucumber, avocado, a little taste of Caviar, the salty taste of the Seeweed or even the bitter taste of the Rice vinagar. Sushi are just awesome.

I don't say "Wines are awesome." if I am referring to all the wines in the world, instead I would say "Wine is awesome." If I am referring a specific and physical group of wines(like wine bottles on a table) you could say "These wines are awesome." The same works(kind of) with sushi, except you wouldn't say "These sushi are awesome." because it's fucking dumb and doesn't work. Sushi with cooked eel is good.
I like sushi, me and my girlfriend went to a sushi restaurant place last week. I ended up getting over twice as much as her because it was so awesome.
But you can still say ''Are'' because it's ''All type of sushi are awesome''.
No it doesn't work like that because in that sentence you are referring to type instead of sushi. All sushi is awesome is what you would say if you left out all type. I also think it should be all types of sushi are awesome.
There's soy sauce for a reason. The shashimi is there mainly for the chewyness and texture. They don't taste gross at all if they are in a cool and icy temperature.
Save the money, and buy a bottle of soy sauce and a bag of rice.
Sushi is fucking awesome. Healthy for you too. I try to eat sushi any chance I get. [editline]09:05PM[/editline]
It are not awesome, but it are okay. I enjoy sushi on occasion, but it are often giving me pains in the stomach or bad diarrhea.
It probably wasn't the right temperature then. Usually if you get stomach pain or diarrhea, the seafood was a warmer temperature than recommended, allowing bacteria to grow. I still love Sushi though. In fact I think I'm going to get some right now.
In fact I think I'm going to get some right now.
One of the best idea you ever had :buddy:
goddammit... now I really want sushi, but I won't be near a good sushi place until I go back up to school, which isn't for a couple months
godamnit fuck you guys i'm allergic to fish :sigh:
Raw seafood? FUCK NO! Bacon Explosion? OH GOD YES!!
