Good to know.
I love eating sushi with a soy sauce. I'm not really keen on wasabi. The movie with the same name was still cool though.
I love sushi, though, isn't the word for the raw kind sushimi?
I thought I read that somewhere...
I need to learn how to make it.

Sashimi is only a little square of raw fish
I love Nigiri Sushi.

Pffft. Try being a cool guy at least once.
(no offence)
Make your own them. At least you'll know what it's made of.
I love Nigiri Sushi.
To be honest, when it's still warm (Yeah, Nigirizushi are cooked) It's freaking awesome.
Wasabi packs too much punch
What's with all the food threads at the moment? Anyway, if it was easier to get a vegetarian version of sushi I'd try it.
And it would be pointless. An integral part of the sushi is the fish.

Correcting transliteration is silly btw.
I like sushi. After having eaten cooked fish for quite some time now, I must say that it starts to taste rather bland. Sushi on the other hand, retains its punch.
I like to do that thing where you dunk it in a mixture of soy sauce and wasabi. It adds a nice salty and spicy flavor to it.

Well, actually, it's the way they write it on menu and wikipedia!
I'm too scared to try and eat raw fish
I'm too scared to try and eat raw fish
There's no problem in eating raw fish. The only problem is where will you buy them. If you go in a cheepy crappy 1$ for 400 sushi place, you'll regret it. Try to go and buy them from a good restaurant. Even if you need to pay the price.
Sushi looks like something that would be fucking amazing to eat. But when I first tried it i threw the fuck up.
whenever i go shopping in town i always grab a small pack of sushi for lunch. If you've never tried it you simply must give it a go. It is, as mentioned previously, nothing like eating plain raw fish. A mixture of rice, vegetables, and other flavourings such as wasabi (which actually is often substituted with a cheaper horseraddish, as genuine wasabi is expensive apparently) or soy sauce. My favourite sushi contains a slice of japanese omelette, which is a bright yellow, spongey egg product, which tastes sweet and delicious.
So in short, try it! You never know, you might love it!
Sushi is good some times but it isn't as great as people make it out to be.
Also sake is shit.

Shrimp is the fucking worst because it has that crunchy then that UGH texture
Crunchy? Aren't you supposed to take the meat out of that and not eat it?
This thread makes me want to go out to a restaurant and try some sushi.

It's also $25 for a decent-sized plate. What a load of bullshit.
If you don't already, you NEED to eat a piece of ginger after each piece, it gets rid of the taste of the last piece so the next one tastes as good as the first, plus the ginger tastes good.
Just try it.

Why? did it taste bad? have a weird texture? did it give you food poisoning?
You need to give it a chance, go to a good sushi place and order a few simple kinds and just TRY it.

I'm trying this the next time I go for sushi. Had no idea that's what it was meant for, I just ate ginger by itself.
i love sushi, my favourite food under pizza.
Nigiri is alright, but Sashimi is where it's at
:barf:
I have access to great sushi from Chinatown.

Well, in Canada you have the ''Sushi Shop'' Which is a really good place with highly trained ''Sushi-men''(Is that a word?) But if you are not in canada, you best try to go in a big city, there's like one sushi place each 4 or 5 streets.
