Listen to hoff. Philosophy and and fact based science are very different things.
He's not a philosopher. This site says that since torturing babies is wrong, there must be a God. Didn't you say you were an atheist? Dawkins' main focus is on genetics and evolution, not atheism.
It doesn't matter if he is a philosopher or not, he's trying to argue a metaphysical problem using physical evidence. You have to admit that there IS a limit to what science can and can't do. This question falls within the realms of philosophy. And Dawkins is attempting to argue in favour of atheism using genetics and evolution. He is trying to prove that there isn't a God. Also, I didn't actually know that about that website, it was part of a resource pack thing given to us in college. If it is as biased as you suggest, I'll bring it up with the teacher. If you're interested, someone uploaded the interview on Youtube. Interesting stuff. But Dawkins seems to fall into the trap of seeing the fundamentalist and making fun of them, because it's extremely easy to, but then making the mistake of thinking that this is the best that Christianity can come up with, when there are much more intelligent people who can defend it.
