A lot of hate on the commercial when I love it. Squid Test: Kid or Squid?

[T]http://i.ytimg.com/vi/H0fT2IjaXJk/maxresdefault.jpg[/T] Ah so the newest meme of 2015 hits. [sp] To be honest it seems like this game pretty much generates memes though[/sp]
People who use the word meme as a form of irony/sarcasm are morons who don't realize how retarded they sound. It's about as obnoxious and unneeded as a hipster calling something mainstream as a synonym for bad/worthless.
I'm finding this video pretty confusing. How can you be a kid, if you are also a squid?
the commercial is very straight forward, the singing is simply going along with whenever the character is a squid or a kid.
the commercial is very straight forward, the singing is simply going along with whenever the character is a squid or a kid.
it matters not whether you're a kid or a squid now, rather it is the interchangeability of the two
I can't wait to see Splatoon in the next Smash Bros game
I can't wait to see Splatoon in the next Smash Bros game
Too late. Though I do agree, it'd be interesting to see what moveset and gimmick they come up with for a proper Inkling fighter. Wonder if they would actually be able to spread ink on the stage.
Wow, the memes of 2015 feel very forced
In a good way...

A lot of stuff whether it be a joke that started from a stand-up routine or a video game can turn into a meme. Memes aren't also inherently unfunny. Forced memes are generally boring to me - why does a joke need to be this big thing that's brought up everywhere at all times? Think about it: the arrow to the knee joke. That's the ultimate example of a terrible meme that was driven into the ground. How about baneposting? Sure, it was alright at first, but after pages upon pages of that stuff where the premise of the joke is that it exists, it becomes really uninteresting. I'll admit to being a picky, overthinking asshole, though. It just sucks that referential humor took over the internet.
