American intervention is the absolute last thing needed, or indeed, Western intervention in general. The Middle East in general is already suspicious of US motives (especially after that veto business), intervening discredits the revolution. Shitbags like Gaddafi get to go "See? The Americans are behind the unrest, like i've said!". Popular support for the revolution would dwindle, and those that remained would suffer even more. Gaddafi would remain in power, and all that would have changed is hundreds dead.
America needs to stay the fuck out of things, they think they're the guardians of global peace, but they ain't. It costs horrendous amounts of lives of innocents, and does nothing good except fucking american economy up for a few years.
I actually took the time to find the official periods of peace in America since our beginning a while ago. I believe it totaled to ~20 years.
If a revolution is fought with foreigners then the revolution isn't as powerful as it should be.
If we steeped in we'd be claimed the victor. Not the people.
We had help from the French during our revolution. They sent us explosives.
At most, we can send the Libyans Weapons and Ammo.
We cant compare US to Libya. We were trying to break away while they are trying to overthrow their government. Bring weapons in and the Middle East would be the new Africa.
