I hate gay steryotypes and avoid them like the plague.
People who embrace steryotypes and make being gay their entire being just upsets me. It's just a sexual preference and nothing more.

That kind of people are pretty much reasons why people hate gays.

Yeah not a fan of the overt gay stereotype, that is unless you actually are like that and aren't just using it to be overt like as you say "making it everything they are".
Sometimes people can't help it, I mean stereotypes exist for a reason, some people literally are just like that, hell I've met a few straight people in my time who are dead ringers for the gay stereotype, it's hilarious.

I mean obviously if they can't help it that's fine. I'm talking about the people who completely intentionally try to absorb everything that is gay into their identity as if it's special. I find myself being guilty of falling under a few steryotypes unintentionally but I try to break them.
you should probably spend less time being mad at other people's behaviors or blaming them for society's ill-will towards the lgbt community
I just think they're really annoyin
There's someone I know who is trans, they used to be pretty cool but over time they've become more and more of a stereotypical tumblr fanatic SJW. She initially blocked men from following her blog, saying that if you can't prove you're not male then she will block you. She's quite vocal about that stuff, too.
I would prefer to just mind my business and let others do their stuff, but people like her really are hurtful in the bigger scale since they make most of the people (trans in this case) look very volatile and hard to take seriously. Similarly, when gay people make sure everyone around them knows they are gay (the people feel the need to let the entire fucking world know they like it in the ass) it hurts others as well.

But how can you look me in the eyes and say that a mushroom dog is a valid gender and that people who think they are a mushroom dog are sane people that don't bring shame to the LGBTQ community???
[editline]20th November 2016[/editline]
I may just have beef with those kind of people because all the gay people in my area except for me are just awful and have no individuality at all whatsoever and all conform to the "tumblr steryotype".
That and the gay community center I reached out to and went to was full of greasy fat middle school boys who claimed to be asexual yet would not stop flirting with me and did not understand personal boundaries and xxxl butch dykes with neon red hair that saw me as a sex object.

Like hell yeah I'm all about finding someone that wants to treat me right and appearance isn't the most important thing in the world... Unfortunatley I've found that most of the "ugly manly" lesbians are even toxic. On OK Cupid I had dozens of super big masculine lesbians treat me like I'm some sort of femme submissive sex object and I got pretty sad, and the super feminine ones are almost always bi-sexual and wind up finding some guy.

Unfortunately sometimes appearance can reflect personality. Not if they're like, born ugly of course. But if they just don't give a shit about their health, they usually have some self-confidence problems at the least.

Only an idiot will let a minority of extremists shape their views on a group as a whole. People don't hate and discriminate against the LGBT community simply because some people within it act that way. Those that do would be against LGBT people already.
If you need to find a scapegoat to bitch about instead of finding real problems in our culture to work on, your priorities are poor and you come across as one of those people that grow up to be grumpy elders harping about the good days and the evils of millennials.

But I'm 19 and I am a millenial (I think) and I don't understand. There's a lot of lgbtq people in my area that are exactly the spitting image of that small annoying minority so thus it seems like its a majority to me because I am not like them.

So you think that some gay people claiming to be otherkin convinces a society that all gay people should be discriminated against?
LGBT discrimination is not a new phenomenon. There will always be excuses to discriminate, but these things are not the cause. Bitching about other LGBT people will not help anyone.
LGBT people that spend their time looking for people to blame for their problems are the same people that would be discriminating against the LGBT community if they themselves had not been born LGBT. This applies to the crazy LGBT people that disown anyone "who can't prove they're not male" as well.
This is why I suggested you hang out with them the other day. You don't need to agree with everything they say to appreciate a more thorough understanding of other people.

The vocal minority will always seem like the majority because they're the ones who makes themselves heard more, it's the nature of the beast.
Directly comparable to SJWs saying "I speak for all men/women when I say this stupid, untrue BS!", a normal person will just scoff at how dumb that ideology is and then move on, keyword being normal person, some idiots will actually believe anything that anybody says.

I think they're fuckin retards for the most part, does acknowledging that mean I'm looking for a scapegoat or does it mean I just have an aversion for idiots who flaunt their poor mental state as if its something of a positive defining trait?
I am not going to sit and accept that some people in the LGBT community are cancerous but leave it be because they are in the same group as me.

Pushing for your own views is fine, but spending all of your time complaining about those you don't agree with isn't healthy. The issue is when you not only disagree with them, but also blame them for your problems. That's just as much of a useless cancerous mentality. It doesn't win friends or convince those you disagree with to see things your way.

I know that gay discrimination isn't new. What I mean by what I say when that the small steryotype gives us a bad name is that they really do give us a bad name. You know how many people I've had assume I hate all men and I think that there's a million genders just because I am lesbian? Quite a handful. Quite a lot. I tried to hang out with them and be nice and try to respect them but they just annoy me and make me feel isolated because some of them aren't even accepting of the fact that I'm a lesbian. I've had bi guys get mad at me because I won't date them and straight guys get furious at me for not wanting to date them. I can't win.
One really good reason to be a stereotype, is so that other gay people will know you're gay.
If you just look like an average person, how do people know it's okay to flirt with you?

I understand where you're coming from, and I'm not saying that you should force yourself to be around people that mistreat you. I wasn't specifically talking about you regarding blaming other people for your problems.
I just want someone to snuggle with at night :suicide:
you people talk about how you meet all these people, even using shit like "a lot" when talking about the group, but i can honestly say ive never met an otherkin or any "sjw extremist" or anything irl
i meet a lot of fuckin people too lgbt community or not
maybe its my area but it feels like maybe theres some overexageration
maybe thats why i dont care about the idiotic minority that i know exists online or whatever
[editline]20th November 2016[/editline]
even most flamboyant dudes i know dont like give the community a bad name just cause they are.... because in the end despite them being like that theyre still good people
I've had people in the lgbtq community ask me why I don't identify as a "butch or femme" they ask me what kind of lesbian I am... That's the thing. I can't quite pinpoint it and I never bothered to. Maybe a stud? Why the fuck should I care. That's because I don't get absorbed in sterotypes and make it my everything and I don't see why people do. I feel like they do it for a sense of belonging but all it does is isolate them within a massive, annoying steryotype. It isolates those of us who want to just (be) without making it our identity. If this makes any sense...

I've never met anyone in real life like this ever and I've met some pretty weird people who would act like animals or imitate their favorite character or whatever, but never have I met someone who identified as some type of kin or animal or non-binary gender, school was a weird time though, I remember this guy used to run with his arms behind him like Sonic back in like 9th grade.

I feel like a post I made in another thread is pretty relevant here:
Here in Tennessee there's a student office for the campus's LGBT community, consisting of a study room, lunch room, and lounge with a coffee machine. A lot of people here complain that it is a "safe space", and over this last semester there's been a big spike in harassment, violence, and vandalizing at and around that office.
People complained that it was a "safe space" until the state legislature banned the university from spending any money on it, which means no more official programs or events for the school to use to promote equal legal treatment, and more importantly no means by which to report discrimination by professors or TAs to the school in a documented manner.
It was a great tool for LGBT Freshmen to make friends and learn to open up after the massive anti-LGBT bullying throughout their K-12 years. Having a place to go where you can openly discuss topics relating to sexual minorities (without being verbally or physically harassed) is very important to those students. It didn't matter that the "safe space" narrative was all bullshit; legislators like this guy just want to make obvious and redundant bills against civil disruption (such as for hospitals and freeways) that everyone already agrees with, for the sake of tacking on rider-bills to discriminate with.
What I'm saying is to think about this a little more critically than to just accept the "retarded SJWs" perspective.
These students I met were good people, even those few who had some strange views that I couldn't agree with. In the face of all this discrimination around my part of the country, they didn't turn on each other and play the blame game. Instead, they formed an effort to travel to our state legislature to protest that legal action and continued to organize events to reach out to the campus community.

while living by sterotypes isnt a good thing or whatever
defining yourself in a sexual/relationship sense lets people know if theyd want to be in a relationship, especially when it comes to sexual interaction
if someone asked if im a sub or dom its probably a similar question because it matters when it comes to sex lol

easy to describe features arent a bad thing. you can still be a deep and complicated person while having some quickly describable traits

Yea but I don't think straight people go around asking each-other weird questions like "what kind of straight person are you? are you a jock or are you a nerd or are you a band kid?"
Idk I'm probably making no sense.
