I feel like a post I made in another thread is pretty relevant here:
These students I met were good people, even those few who had some strange views that I couldn't agree with. In the face of all this discrimination around my part of the country, they didn't turn on each other and play the blame game. Instead, they formed an effort to travel to our state legislature to protest that legal action and continued to organize events to reach out to the campus community.
people who complain about safe spaces are morons who take for granted a lot
safe spaces are just anywhere you can feel completely comfortable, being at a best friends house is a safe space
it's not all about being INTELLECTUALLY CHALLENGED and shit when people complain like fuck off sometimes i dont want to have to argue with someone over what i want to talk about
Yea but I don't think straight people go around asking each-other weird questions like "what kind of straight person are you? are you a jock or are you a nerd or are you a band kid?"
Idk I'm probably making no sense.
Well yeah; most straight couples align with classical 'guy does the fucking' sexual relationships. With gay couples it's not so easy to be compatible.
I think it's done to the fact that until recently (talking the last 30 years) gay people were forced to pretty much hide in their own communities, so naturally that means people have very different behaviours.
I must admit I think it's great the gay community is so sex positive (even if uh... the replies to my thing one page ago made me feel... o.o;) At the same time, I don't mind the fact that my group in college really don't discuss sex.
I'm sure there are quite a few lesbians out there that would be in the same boat as you.
I don't think straight people go around asking each-other weird questions
You'd be surprised at the types of things I hear people ask each other in public, regardless of gender or sexuality. I had a guy recommend "I meet his friend because he's gay too so we have something in common" and I pretty much replied with "dude wat"

this thread talks about draining cum outta dicks on a spontaneous basis and you think that someone asking you sexual preferences out of the blue is a bad thing?
i mean it can be awkward depending on time/place but at an LGBT meeting you could really just want to talk about fuckin life experiences if youre both the same
its an odd ice breaker but it works if you dont proceed to be creepy after. even then just tell them to go away

No I mean like, butch and femme are appearance things. This kid essentially asked why I don't fall under one of those two...as if I was supposed to. Like "Nah I don't see the point in making myself all big and manly to express my sexual preference of being the dominant one with women."
[editline]20th November 2016[/editline]
Dom or sub as a question makes more sense than "butch or femme". If that makes any sense.

But why should I conform to just those two options appearance wise and personality wise???
I think it's rediculous.
[editline]20th November 2016[/editline]
I want to look the way I want to look and I want to act the way I want to act and what I do to a girl in bed has nothing to do with my personality. Because in the end it's just sex. Doesn't matter what gender it is. I swear I am meant to live in a time where being lesbian doesn't mean anything special. Just like it shouldn't mean anything special. I want things to be normal.
So if a butch is a "masculine" female and a femme is a "feminine" female then what is a "switch" in female terms? 🤔
these emojis being officially recognized by chrome is a jarring experience

you can just say i have x features of one and y features of another.... its the 2 fucking extremes
gays dont have to go by bear or twink either, or sub or dom since switch exists or maybe youre just super specific if you feel like it. like you wont recieve anal or whatever.
you dont have to freak out with the bold, underlined italics

again, 2 extremes you dont HAVE to classify yourself under one of them or face death
the whole 2 extremes for classifying things quickly exists for a lot of things
...
I think you misunderstood my post entirely somehow, I was asking what the term was if there even was one.

Avoiding labels has been one of my bigger mistakes, personally.
If you don't label yourself, others will do it for you. I think I'm mostly perceived as a dime-a-dozen straight gamer guy.
Being invisible sucks a lot more than the alternative.

I don't think anybody IRL actually knows about my sexuality besides my family and my physician, especially because most people just asked generic questions about me like if I had a girlfriend or boyfriend, both of which were met with "No." so it usually didn't continue any further than that.

Is that supposed to be a pun?
👌😂🔫
My brothers are the only ones who knows about my sexuality.

I'm sorry but I like puns.
I'm pretty sure my dad is the only one who DOESN'T know about my sexuality
